#203 of 225 NYPost possible victim photos for Alcala
I know people were mentioning pagan rituals/celebrations on here earlier. I think they're right. I think it's Nordic like Midsommar/Midsummer, but Nordic. The flower wreaths in the hair are huge for those types of events. I disagree on the girl's age, I do think that's a teenager or a younger woman, and the California sun has maybe weathered her skin a little. I think that's California, maybe specifically the Napa Valley, maybe Sacramento where they have Scandinavian festivals. I've been trying to figure out if Alcala was in the Napa region around June 1978, shortly after the time he would be projected (?) to have been released for his marijuana charge. I think he may have murdered another woman in Napa (and I also am wondering if that woman matches another of the storage locker photos).
Here's why I'm wondering if that's Napa specifically. There was a Scandinavian shop operated there around this time called Helgeland. Here's a picture of it.
The red-- those are the Scandinavian hearts, just like the heart on the girl's jumper. Now, those hearts are (from what I can see online) very big with Scandinavian culture generally, so by itself, I wouldn't necessarily think Napa specifically. But I am thinking still California and a Scandinavian festival, probably in more northern area of CA. (As I look, though, I'm seeing Scandinavian festival in Thousand Oaks as well.) I'm still wondering about Helgeland and whether it was Napa specifically. Looking at the jewelry on the donkey:
The top portion with the blue stone in the center looks like what I'm seeing online as the spiked Sol sun god symbol, looks like this:
The bottom portion of the donkey jewelry looks like a variation of it of sorts.
I see people on here noting Lynn Ruth Connes, I wondered about her as an Alcala victim as well, but didn't associate her with this image we're discussing at all. I thought perhaps these photos, though:
But unless sources I've seen are mistaken, Ruth disappeared in May 1976, and sources say Alcala was incarcerated at that time and wasn't released until 1977. I find it difficult to believe she's not an Alcala victim as well, but evidently (?) it's impossible.
