Grandmother, 85, Keeps Promise

[font=Verdana,Sans-serif]Keeping a promise to her grandson that she would parachute when she turns 85, Thelma Tillery did just that.[/font] [font=Verdana,Sans-serif]"When you step out on that little step, man, that's when it really hits you," Tillery said after successfully landing in Kearney, Nebraska.[/font]

[font=Verdana,Sans-serif]She jumped tandem-style at a Kearney Municipal Airport sky-diving center, Kearney Hub newspaper reported.[/font]

[font=Verdana,Sans-serif]"Everything worked, and I hit the ground running," Tillery said. "And that's about as good as you can get, I guess."[/font]

[font=Verdana,Sans-serif]So good, in fact, she recommends the experience.[/font]

[font=Verdana,Sans-serif]"Anyone who is curious about it and would like to do it ... should go ahead and do it," she said. "I'd do it again - not tomorrow - but it's not something I would hesitate to do again."
