I checked the airport site and it states that you have to be at the airport three hours before departure, so that would be 08:30pm. With my technologically challenged computer I wasnt able to get the travel times by public transport from LM's house or Agnignon parc but a taxi would take during high traffic, which it wasnt, max 1 hour. Would it be a good guess to say he had to leave to the airport around 07:30-07:45?

Yeah, that three hours is sort of a recommended time. At most, we can say he would have had to arrive 1 hour before this flight time, otherwise check in/baggage drop would be closed.

How did you find out the exact location of the head? I have read about the "west end of the park" and the head being found on the shore, but nothing else. Do you have a link?

I just looked at the video with the crime tape,and police cars,you can see the childrens playhouse/gym in the background of the police tape photos,you can see that playhouse/playground on google maps and the nearest shore of the lake where the police were concentrated

Ahh ok, well here's a few I have at work.

This one is one of my favorites. There are only two people here that aren't Luka. They never realized that Nik & Crystal both had the same avatar of boys in a jacuzzi and let them stay in the group ranting and raving for a long time.

He'd do this sort of thing OFTEN.

Then that new renamed profile would join that group.

We would tell them and were just accused of Photoshopping so we just threw our hands up. Sorry, but you cant fix stupid.

Maybe he slept outside or something from 25-26 may. The bed must have smelled. And so did he when he was on the plane.

No shower, just new clothes.
Little and/or uncomfortable sleep.
I guess that's why he was crying on the plane.

I find the timeline from 24-05 till 26-05 very interesting. It seems that all actions relating to the killing were completed/finished at latest by friday 9:15 PM. That is except for the disposal of the head, we dont know. I’m using friday 9:15 PM because that was the time the owner of Best Gore uploaded the video on the internet. The owner must have gotten hold of it sooner: must be some time in between receiving it in the inbox and reading it, watching it, a bit internet research, and the writing of the discription.

So it seems he had quite a lot of time till his plane departure saturday night. Which still made me wonder about why he would show up in the airplane dirty, smelling of sweat. Then the simple and most obvious idea came to mind. He was probably too busy/obsessed with watching his master plan unfold on the internet...

Is there a timeline on his internet activities that friday and saturday? And does anybody know at what time he had to check in for his flight?


PS I found someone with a remarkable resemblence to LM while sleuthing around for this case.. Check the eyebrows!!

From the AirTransat website:
"All check-in counters open 4 hours prior to the scheduled time of departure."
"All Air Transat check in counters will close (1) one hour prior to the time of departure."

Based on this, I fear we will never know exactly when he arrived at the airport/left his apt (unless more infos will be published).
Also, couldnt LM just buy his ticket online and also check-in online? This would have saved him lots of time!

IMO, his Paris trip was pre planned so yes he would have purchased the ticket online. I'm not sure passengers can check in online for international flights though. They have to show their passport at the check in counter.

We were discussing a possible timeline of when he could have made the deposit at the park. I'm not saying that's what happened. I gave both scenarios. One being right after the park and the other leaving from his apartment.

I don't know if he would have gone back to his apartment after he dismembered poor Jun Lin.

Pure Speculation by me but based on the evidence and knowledge, I think that he was crying and vomiting on the plane due to suffering from the symptoms of withdrawal from narcotics.

It really bothers me that Magnotta was so:
Organized.
Comfortable strolling around town with fresh human remains.
Competent in categorically completing his pre/post murder to-do list.
Heck if the garbage men just did their job he might not have been located for years...

I'm not even sure what I wrote in the second line, that was completely snipped.

It was true, though, reading his manipulative and angry invectives on those facebook screen shots was just breathtaking, especially given what was at stake: his incredibly vile and cruel treatment of helpless animals in his care, and the fact others were onto him. And he hated them for it.

I also thought about drugs but my experience with dealers and drugaddicts is that they are pretty quick to talk about "Who bought What." LRM doesn't struck me as an addict even if he might have used drugs now and then.
I often have trouble falling asleep and even if I take sleepingpills I end up staying awake for 35-40 hours without trouble. (And that's without any drugs, I might add!)

As for the "organized" part, I now people with no empathy and they are not really "organized", they just don't care. They go from doing one thing to the other and don't pay much thoughts about what they did, only about what they have gained.
Now, I'm not saying that LRM is a psychopath or anything.
Just my thoughts about people without empathy. =)

I think there is good argument to say that with LM's inability to organize, and other key traits, he may be more of a sociopath than a psychopath.

If he was on drugs (meth, speed) or is bi-polar mania would have given the energy. Also, adrenaline rush. yes, he is rather busy and premeditated everything. Organized killing vs an unorganized killing ie. drug induced Excited delirium (bath salt attack.)

I disagree with "LM's inability to organize". IMO, he was very organized in the planning and carrying out of this murder (promoting the video, acquiring necessary tools/equipment/packaging, disposal of body parts .. although somewhat inept, arranging overseas flight, etc.) In his online personae, he knew at all times what sites were discussing his kitten vids and what was being said; he had the ability to keep track of his varied and numerous user IDs and maintain whichever persona he affixed to a particular ID, etc etc

IF we are talking "organized" vs "disorganized" as it relates to a perp profile, he fits into the "organized" classification, otherwise we'd have seen a disorganized slash & dash type of kill without all the planning and adherence to plan that LRM exhibited.

I agree with organized.
It takes time to create fb pages, "sockpoppets", troll, and promote a killvid. Not sane, but organized.
Who else was classified as an organized killer that we can compare him to?
He was more organized than his hero Karla.

Ted Bundy is classified as organized serial killer. Took time to charm his victims, had a job, gf and his behaviour and the crime scenes etc...although I believe he flew into rage when committing the crime itself.
From what i did see of the video Luka was not in a frenzy or rage, just like the kitten videos, but, calmly methodical. Very eerie.
