I wonder if they did a tox screen on CC? To see if there were any antidepressants and/or sedatives in her system which she knowingly or unbeknownst to her has taken. I would say if she for example has taken something to sleep, it would explain why there are no signs of a struggle on her. I suspect if she was still nursing the baby, she wouldn’t have taken such meds knowingly but who knows?

But on the other hand if LE believed it was a robbery as described the ME might have not thought to do that? On the other hand the tox screen may be a routine occurrence? I have no idea but would like to know.

It should be a routine. I would be amazed if it wasn't. She was buried with haste - I get religious tradition, but still.

Aha, and if what you wrote is true (no signs of struggle) it sadly means that she died while sleeping. JMO. Sb smothered her with a pillow. Of course I am speculating.

I, too, believe that the age gap wouldn't be an important detail, if we were talking about, let's say, a 40 year-old woman marrying a 52 year-old man. But in this case it got my attention as well. Now, this is just speculation from my part, but let's not forget that Caroline grew up and met B in a small island, where people tend to be a little close-minded, hold traditional values, etc... I find it really hard to believe that their relationship was just universally accepted by everyone. Of course, that doesn't mean anything. People don't need anyone's approval to start a relationship, and perhaps Caroline wanted that lifestyle and was happy with it. Her therapist will definitely provide the police with more accurate information on that, compared to her social media or her photos. But no, a 28/29 year old falling in love/courting a 16-year old would absolutely not be considered a normal occurrence, neither here, nor, I believe, anywhere else in the world.

Although the age of consent here in England is 16, I too think a 29 year old guy with a 16 year old girl just isn’t right!
You’ve got to remember where Caroline’s mother is from though, the age of consent in the Philippines is only 12, they’re supposed to be raising it but I’m not sure that’s actually happened yet. Anyway, there are definitely many, many young women there that desperately want to meet and older, Western man who’ll take them away from it all!
I’m guessing that Caroline’s mother did exactly that with her husband, would have seen B as a great catch for her daughter and would have encouraged the relationship from the start.
Caroline herself though has grown up in Greece and probably has a different mind set, maybe she was swept off her feet at the beginning but started to have doubts recently?

And many young people suffer depression, I don’t think it’s strange that a 20 year old is seeing a therapist at all, lots of people need a little help.

I don’t know if there were signs of a struggles or not as the articles vary on that. But if there weren’t or weren’t enough of, like one would expect more, then the use of some kind of sedative could come into play.
It’s a theory, definitely not a fact.

It reminds me of a Cyprus serial killer Nikos Metaxax (military man) who romanced Filipino women working in Cyprus. Met them via dating site, promised marriage and then murdered them. It was a scandal in Cyprus as police didn't investigate missing Filipino women. The bodies of some victims were discovered by chance by some tourist taking pics of an abandoned mine. And then all hell broke loose! I read that Chief of Police was dismissed, and even Minister of Justice (I think).
It made people realize how poorly these women were treated.

I thought the husband said he heard her screaming? And they were trying to get her to say where money was? Also she was strangled it says in news, not asphyxiated.

"According to the result of the necropsy - necropsy that was completed at noon on Wednesday and which was performed by a medical examiner of the medical school of the University of Athens, the death of 20-year-old Caroline came from suffocation. According to information, her death is due to "airway obstruction, as a result of suffocation".

The killer allegedly closed the girl's mouth with pieces of cloth, pushing them unbearably and squeezing them inwards with the palm of his hands. In fact, the stubborn criminal allegedly blocked her nose. So the 20-year-old could not breathe, resulting in suffocating death.

The possibility of strangulation has been ruled out,"

Horrific.

I hope they are making him reenact how he managed to unlock his phone with his nose and call police. Then why call neighbour too? Why not wait for police to arrive to untie him?

I think he maybe knows more than he has said hitherto.
Given that his hands were conveniently taped or tied together in front of his body, I can't see why he wouldn't be able to unlock and operate his phone with his fingers. Although he claims after being taped/tied up, he was put in fetal position. Not sure I can imagine this exactly - perhaps tied into a fetal position so he couldn't unfurl himself - who knows.

Sorry to fixate on the Monopoly box, but I have so many questions about his claim that they told the 'gang' that's where the money was.
Who has a Monopoly box just lying around in an obvious place, given it's not something people engage in more than maybe once a year?
Who leaves a Monopoly box somewhere obvious when you've got a crawling baby around?
Don't we tend to keep the Monopoly box on a shelf, underneath other large, flat things, like books/other games/jigsaws etc?
So wouldn't you imagine he'd need to say more than just 'It's in the Monopoly box'?
I'd have to say 'go into the hall, look on the second shelf on the right...next to the collection of old 'Dolls houses and Miniatures magazines' ... underneath the decorators dust sheets... oh, and put the light on at the top of the stairs first, or you won't be able to see a thing'.

That was probably due to poor translation, because, from the very beginning, the news in Greece said asphyxiated/suffocated. I don't thing I ever heard the word "strangulation" being used by the Greek media, in regards to this case.

Supposedly, the Monopoly box was in the basement. No idea if it was in a storage room, kept on a shelf, inside a plastic container... perhaps it was in plain sight, so the only thing he had to say was "Just go downstairs and you'll find the money right there, in the Monopoly box".

They have 100% ruled out the husband???

They haven't ruled anyone out (that we know of). They're running tests to see if any evidence left behind could point to already known criminals, so far without success, and they have a Georgian man in custody, in connection to another robbery, that denies any involvement in this one. The police says that they're still open to all possibilities.

Daily Mail today:

Greek police are still investigating the murder of Briton Caroline Crouch, 20, who was strangled to death on May 11 at her family home near Athens

Mr Anagnostopoulos will also be interviewed by a psychologist to try and 'illuminate' some 'elusive' spots in the investigation, such as who might have known about a large amount of cash being stored at the family home.

According to previous statements that Mr Anagnostopoulos gave to police, he was tied up by three robbers who broke into his home near Athens in the early hours, who demanded £10,000 in cash he was hiding in a Monopoly box.

The robbers allegedly threatened to harm the couple's 11-month-old daughter and then strangled Caroline to death when she began screaming.
