She has the coloring of my friends' daughters and very similar facial features; they are Jewish with the last name of Suzor- (which I cannot find a common country of origin for!)

When I first saw this is thought she looked swedish/russian or from the baltic countries.

Although I looked exactly like her (pale, light blonde, and the eyebrows) up until I was about 6/7 and im from scotland.

I want to know about the other children...

I thought german or even uk.. but its a big old word out there.she almost looks albino.. she has a ginger tinge to her hair.. wonder if the suns bleached it (if shes begging she'll be outside a hell of a lot.

And she certainly looks nothing like her given name.

When I first saw the photo of her, I thought she looked very Finnish. Of course there's no way of knowing for sure, but that's the gut feeling I had.

This is news in Swedish media (as well as Norwegian, not sure about the other nordic countries), so the word is getting out. Hopefully someone will be able to recognize her/remember a missing child (if she's been abducted).

I said the same thing to myself when I first saw her picture. Then said to myself, why? idk she does have an unusual appearance.

I don't think this poor girl will turn out to be a high-profile kidnap victim. DNA from those victims' families is very likely on file. If there were a match, the police wouldn't need to make a public appeal. I reckon she was taken from a poor family, perhaps in a place where LE was too ineffective or corrupt to do much. (IOW, I'd be looking eastward).

Parents of Madelaine McCann say the case has 'given them great hope' she will be found alive.

The McCanns need to butt out. This ain't about them.

I apologise if this sounds like a silly question im ignorant to child laws in other countries

If this child was sold or... no one comes forward for her
Can these people be charged with abduction.?

I agree with the first paragraph, hopefully the family will come forward.

As for the McCanns, I am sure it would have been the media that approached them for comment, rather than the other way around. I am glad they have some hope now, and I hope that this case gives hope to Kerry Needham too.

What they can't comment that its given them hope that Maddie will be found alive? IMO they have as much right to speak out as any other parent of a missing child does.

Of course this gives them hope, as it probably does to many others.

This child is worthy of attention and help in her own right, but the British media have been acting as if her story is of interest chiefly because of its supposed relevance to the McCann story (one rag even used the headline "Hope for Maddie," instead of choosing a title that told us anything about Maria's plight). I find that disgusting, though not at all surprising. I'll say no more, because turning this thread into another debate about the McCanns would defeat my purpose.

The sister of the accused is on sky news stating they have had her since birth and that she wss bulgarian.. her mother was unable to look after her and she had been feeding her sugar water so they took her in...

Then your criticism should really be directed towards the British media rather than the McCanns.

Kidnapping, human trafficking and false document possession is what is being said for likely charges right now.

From your link ... and, UGH! ...

... aged between 4-6 years ...
green eyes ...
said that they had bought her from her father, a Bulgarian, for EUR 80 ...
another version, they met a Bulgarian mother accidentally in a supermarket and they allowed to help her as they felt sorry for her for not having enough money to raise her child ...
assumed that the child is of Bulgarian origin.

According to police the girl had been kidnapped immediately after birth, presumably in 2009.

The British media have been VERY effective in the McCann case. That is quite evident.
