The Roma couple she was found with are Kristos Salis (the name on the video of her) and Eleftheria Dimopoulou.

There's been pictures of her room released, which is apparently the only bedroom in the house.

Quote from the neighbour saying she was treated specially:

Also, some stills from a video of her dancing inside the roma camp. The woman is Maria Dimitriou, 21, grand-daughter of the roma camp’s leader.

Dimpoulou is the woman in the prior video who throws the boy.

All found here

Her bedroom is certainly cleaner than my kids'. :D

was on the news earlier here that her bedroom, was decorated before they would allow any cameras in and im sure the reporter said that there was pretty much only a bed in it before.

Yeah, no way is thnat the child's bedroom. Total; snow job, IMO.

Just skimming, but if the parents were receiving ~$3400 a month in aid, how are they considered so poor? I thought I read the prefab homes were provided by the government, too. Granted, it's not a TON of money, but the need to send out children to beg, etc. doesn't seem warranted. Or am I missing something huge?

This is what I don;t get. If they were getting $3,400 per month in Greece, wouldn't they be living better than in some squalid Roma camp? Add tons of money from criminal activity and possibly using all those kids as beggars, I don;t understand. I kind of think the reports about how much they earn are greatly exaggerated.

From the documentary, money collected could be used to build nice houses in Romania.

I don't know what to think but of course it is suspicious to have all these kids in an impossibly short time. I have long been aware of the atrocities against the Roma and the prejudice they face. I am sure it could cause some to jump to conclusions about them. At the same time I think it makes no sense to say that it couldn't be a kidnapping situation here. I think all races and cultures have individual members among them who are capable of very good and very bad acts. No group is immune. Positively or negatively we should judge these folks on the facts that come out and not their race or ethnicity or social status. We should also judge them as individuals and not imply that their crimes if any reflect on anyone but themselves.

Yes, but these aren't Romanian Gypsies as I had thought, earlier. They are Greek.

Per the documentary, Romanian Gypsies go to other European countries to make money, then go back to Romania after they build their houses.

She doesn't look like she is enjoying the dancing. She barely moves. She also appears to be sucking on her fingers (needing comfort, presumably).

$3420 to raise 14 children = $244 per month per child

that's not much IMO

Where did she get these "14" children? A woman can not physically give birth every four months. Even octomom can not do that.

Please don't post pictures of unrelated minors. Crop your pictures, if necessary, before posting to remove unrelated children.

Thanks,

Salem

I don't believe she was motivated by the 'love' of children to accrue 14 of them. jmo

It's a scam for sure. Beyond that, I don't have any idea what's going on.

Yes, which is why I initially thought they were likely Romanian. But they are not. They are Greek.

I think that's about it. It's a financial scam. These are probably poorer Gypsy families' kids who "lent" them to pay of debts or send them to work, some Ic their earnings being sent back to their families.

Even though she is listed as a family abduction, similarities to this girl, I think

Did the mom really have 14 kids in her care or just that many registered? Many kids are probably registered different times with different families that don't even raise them. They could even pay some people to allow them to register a child. I think Maria was given to or taken by them more close to toddler age. She just seems too uncomfortable and shy in that atmosphere. I doubt that they abducted her but could have bought her because of the blonde hair.

A scandinavian father thinks Maria might be his daughter. She was born in 2009, in Greece, and was declared dead at the hospital. The parents never got to see her body, and they were suspicious. When they later looked in her grave, there was no body, and he's convinced that his daughter was made victim of trafficking.

Is it possible that these people are forced to give their money to someone else? Is their a Romani mafia in each village?

The eye colour is different and so is the age. Gabriela's lips also have a more full shape to them.

Very strange that a hospital would not let the parents of a deceased baby see their child and say goodbye. I feel bad for the parents, all these years of doubt and wondering.
