Now we know for sure that the theft from the grandparents happened before Caylee even went missing. I'd like to know if she had stolen from the grandparents before this. If not, it could indicate a plan in place to try and get as much money as possible before Caylee even went missing.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was over time and escalated into larger amounts. I don't think stealing was something Casey just started doing this spring. MOO

I think there are charges relating to elder-abuse that could be brought in addition to the monetary theft, but what seems so bad to me about this is the enabling going on that Cindy & George covered it up.

And about the enabling thing, I typed up something the other day about my feelings regarding Cindy and Casey's relationship, but it got long and I decided to save and maybe paste in a new thread. Will try to find that this weekend because I think it's worth a discussion.

SWAG in some ways i feel sorry for the parents. a lot of things they brought on themselves but i also think they had their own issues to take care of and unfortunately. no one did.

I don't feel sorry for them - not in the least.

Oh no the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...I belive and have believed they are one of the same in regards to control.

Actually, I live in SC and use to do medical insurance billing for a OB/GYN. there were lots of women that had Medicaid for Pregnant Women and it is alot easier to qualify for that then say regular Medicaid. We had alot of teenage girls that came from what would be considered higher income families and they were still able to qualify. I don't know about Florida, but that is how it is here.

Maybe for medical, I was talking mainly about cash. But I don't know much about it. In PA med and cash are seperate, I think.....IDK

Tony Padilla the bailbondsman is nephew of LP the Bounty Hunter.

It was Tony Lazarro that Casey dated. He's a college boy from NY state.

Ok if the Rick is real then it makes it a good probabilty that the argument on Father's day could have been about the stolen checks from Casey's GP's. What was she using the money for? It appears the George and Cindy where footing all of the bills. Casey does not have the look of a serious drug user. A lot of girls get hooked up with guys that make demands on them for their drug habits and these girs will steal for them. Just a thougt.

This might explain a bit of guilt the parents feel...maybe they feel they pushed Casey, Casey was angry and took it out on Caylee?

Maybe, about them feeling a bit of guilt ~ if they'd called LE that day after finding out Casey had stolen from her grandparents and had her arrested for that, Caylee would still be alive. As for Casey getting angry and taking it out on Caylee, I still believe she wanted her out of the way to pursue the new boyfriend, partying and get back at her mom.

There's a post on the 'Rick' thread with a link to an AT&T webpage for the blackjack that shows it costs almost exactly what Casey forged grandpa's check for - $354.

But was it her grandma who wanted to press charges against Casey? For some reason I thought it was the nursing home because of some kind of restriction on use of money in that particular checking account.
