The phones have probably been bugged for awhile now but I doubt they could get a warrant for the house until Casey got there. I know from the Scott Peterson case that they aren't allowed to listen or record anything between client and attorney. It's my opinion from what's being said by the defense in this case that privilege would also apply to any listening devices in the house while he is present.

IMO the Feds have had that house under surveillance since the day they got there. Local LE usually doesn't have the real "spohisticated" equipment that FDLE or FBI do. IMO there are almost two different investigations going on. Local and Fed. and when this type of situation happens - THEY DON'T LIKE TO SHARE.

well said. No benefit could come from waiting that long. If and when LE has definitive evidence they will press charges...you can be sure LE is being heavily pressured to get the necessary evidence as quickly as possible. They are not dragging their feet but they may be grasping at straws.

One thing that has really bothered me from the beginning of this case is why didn't LE issue an Amber Alert? No Police sketch of ZG no press conference asking for the publics help in locating ZG or the Nanny or anybody. I think they know something & unfortunatley I don't think it's good news.

Because they both involve the same circumstance..Caylee being missing.

It is double jeopardy in Florida, from what I understand, to charge someone twice in the same crime.

Therefore, they can either charge her with neglect because her daughter is missing, which they have ...or they can charge her with murder. But if she stands trial for the current charges, then they can't retry the case under new charges. So November is their deadline to find out the truth about what happened to Caylee. No worries..I think that the DA is way ahead and has alot of evidence to show that Casey was involved in Caylee's murder and the coverup..which we are viewing now.

They are not going to blow this one by going too soon. There is NO statute of limitations on murder and they have nothing to gain by filing charges too soon.

I wonder if they have what they need for the case against Casey, but feel someone else is involved and tightening up that noose first so they have someone to turn state's evidence. When more than one is involved, it is amazing how they "squeal like a banshee" to stop from going to jail themselves.

I feel they are trying to put everything in place. Even if they have established positive results Caylee is deceased, that isn't going to tell them WHEN. I don't know what they have, but what we know FOR SURE puts the when anywhere from Cindy leaving the nursing home on June 15 through the 911 calls on July 15. George places Caylee with Casey on June 16th, yeah, his word is golden (sarcasm smilie). He77, if that Father's Day video hadn't turned up, we might STILL be going by June 9th!!

There it is again. He's offering up too much information! I keep seeing this type of behavior when each one of these players start talking.

I'm not gonna be able to NOT form opinions on this if it doesn't stop! That little piece on leaving the jail and her squishing cheeks with Baez, that just gave me the oddest feeling. She looks receptive to him, intimate. NOT scared and hiding her face.

Personally, I think he deserves her, lol. The only thing that bothers me about it if there is more going on there, is she is already got grounds for an appeal if she is convicted.

My money would be on George........

maybe - I can see that. I cried foul on him the first week when they got the car FROM THE RESIDENCE - already cleaned out of smelly squirrel pizza, clothes laundered, gas cans returned to shed. Being he is ex-LE he should have know better - FROM THE MINUTE HE SAT DOWN IN THAT DRIVERS SEAT at the impound lot. But.............even though that shows he "knew" something and probably "knew" A body had been in that car .......................doesn't really confirm that A body was Caylee. Plus I think he had known it was Caylee - he would have called 911 himself. He seems to have loved her - although in all the family times that have surfaced in pics - you really don't see him interacting with Caylee - you see Casey and Cindy and just Caylee - Caylee with GrGP but don't recall seeing a pic of George and Caylee.

So let's see - If we are investigating as LE - looking for her dead - well then that points to George and Casey "doing" something.

If we are investigating as BH - looking for her alive - well you can bet both Casey and George had told (Feds - or maybe not - but at least Baez and now BH) who was in that trunk and how A body came to be in the trunk of Casey's car.

Thats a great point. But the other side of that argument is can you imagine the public backlash against LE if there really is a kidnapper. It seems to me that they are treating this case as a murder not a missing child case.
