Pre-covid no but now I’ve had friends say they were charged a different amount and certainly with Instcart they are marked up then you pay the service fee and tip - all adds up IMO

Anyone, where can I find Lysol??? Not at Amazon, Wal Mart, Target, Dollar General. Where do I look??? I ran out of lysol weeks ago. TIA.

Try hardware stores like Lowes or Home Depot. I found Germ-X hand sanitizer at Lowes this week and they had a lot of different cleaners in the same section. I didn't look for Lysol specifically, because I never use that brand (I can't stand the smell), but I know they had Clorox brand all purpose cleaners that do the same thing as Lysol (I didn't need any liquid cleaner so left it on the shelf). Cleaning product were being limited to 1 per purchase, so that may be helping to keep them in stock there. HTH.

What I’m finding out is that when you try to find these things online or in-app for curbside pick-up, you can’t get them. Sometimes they don’t even show up as ever having been available. But my brother walks into the same store and finds it on the shelf.

I was up, couldn’t sleep - trying to find the foaming hand sanitizer online. Gave up.
The gel we have is too goopy for the little ones to use by themselves. They got used to using the hand sanitizer at daycare but using the gel is a mess. It’s slippery as heck on a tile floor.

For the second week in a row, there are no Butcher Shop offerings on Nino Salvaggio's Marketplace or Rewards specials. I didn't go with DH last weekend, but it seems that there was no chicken at the meat counter or in adjacent tanks with pre-packaged chicken. We're good for now with four boneless, skinless breasts in the freezer, but we don't want to run out. We don't usually get meat at Costco because the quantities are large for the two of us, but if they have chicken when DH goes this month, maybe we should stock up if there's going to be a shortage.

Does regular soap and water - with the friction of scrubbing - do the job just as well?

I use only soap and water to wash my hands at home but it's not practical when I'm in the parking lot of a store and all the public restrooms are closed. I use the hand sanitizer after getting groceries, after removing my mask and gloves and before touching anything in my car. And I'm assuming most people want Lysol for sanitizing hard surfaces or wiping down their grocery packages that can't be scrubbed with warm soap water. Or for cleaning toilets, showers, doorknobs, light switches, etc. But, as I said, I don't use Lysol. MOO.

I've been wiping down grocery items with a sudsy cloth (and keeping my hands clean in the kitchen). Friction + soap = breaks down virus cell walls (at least that's what I learned years ago).

I use sudsy water with scrubbing for almost all household cleaning, including door knobs, etc.

The stress of not being able to find specific cleansers when soap is available is not a stress I want, though I totally understand people are missing the products they would prefer to use.

^^^^ This is what we do also..... Soap and water at home. Homemade sanitizer ( my wife made a bunch up in small bottles) in both vehicles for when away from the house...... So far, so good.....moo

I don’t by aerosol disinfectants. I did buy 3 plastic bottles (empty) that are made to turn liquids into an aerosol spray. The bottles are used by hairdressers. The bottles are amazing and cost less then $25/3. I fill my bottles with water and disinfectant as per directions.

Yeah, there are no stores within walking distance of me. I live out in the country and have to drive 30-45 minutes one way to get to most places. Germ-x is also necessary if I spend too long away from home and have to find a tree or bush-- as I said, no bathrooms are open. It hasn't happened yet, but by the time I get home I'm usually dancing around while cleaning my groceries. LOL.

I will have to check into that option.
So they are like a fine mist rather than droplets? Using Lysol aerosol spray for the bathroom (not to clean, but for odor/disinfect after toilet use) and my mom uses Lysol to spray Amazon and other mail packages, etc.
Hard trying to get them to understand no more Lysol spray. Some spray type bottles are difficult with Parkinson’s and tremors.

My experience with the ArtNaturals brand hand sanitizer is that the product was not properly formulated and has questionable ingredients. I am throwing out what I got from them due to smell of kerosene.

I saw a MSM news article last week that said that the antiseptic ingredients in Lysol spray and several disinfectant wipe products came from China, and the chemicals used would not be available until July. If I find the article again, I’ll post a link. I like to use Lysol to spray packages and grocery bags, so I’ll miss it when mine runs out...

I've been wiping groceries, packages, mail, etc. with Clorox wipes instead of spraying Lysol. We have a good supply of wipes, and I feel that they do a better job of disinfecting surfaces instead of the spray that goes everywhere and quickly evaporates. When I spray Lysol in bathrooms, the droplets end up on the floor and have to be wiped dry.

Could please you post a link to the bottles you purchased? I got some and they didn't work great.
