Thanks for sharing this report. I put some Duke's mayo on my avocado toast this morning. I like the creamy texture and tart flavor. I still think Hellmann's is the best, but I could easily become a Duke's mayo fan :D

Does this infer a recall? Last thing we need is contaminated food. Meats have been pulled have they not? Especially pork.

we're going to start stocking up again even though we still have a lot of the supplies bought previously (like dried beans etc.)
we're also going to buy a freezer - earliest delivery date is Aug. 25
and we're still coaxing the garden (in containers) along

if I ever see lysol wipes in stock again I think I will just about fall over

You’ll love having a freezer. I need to organize mine. My frozen water jugs for hurricane season needs to be refreshed.

I haven’t done a grocery trip in awhile. Just my drive thru pantry and produce pick ups. I work hard to make do with what I’m given. But sometimes, I need specific ingredients. Like Greek yogurt to make tzatziki sauce. I made all the chicken breast today for Greek Chicken wraps. I made a peach cake with the canned peaches.

My list is getting pretty long tho. I’m thinking I’ll go early in the morning.

I love fresh veggies and fruits but decided to start buying and storing canned goods for if and when the food chain gets seriously hurt. I masked up and went to Super One to stock up to make my purchases. There was a limit of 4 cans of vegetables.

There need to be limits and I'm glad for them. It's possible to have a well stocked pantry without hoarding items so that others can't find what they need.

From what the article said, the product was considered safe to eat.

After seeing the head of Clorox on GMA a while ago saying that they ship wipes everyday, I asked my grocery store if they get them, when trucks come in & when they stock. Get there ‘first thing’ in the morning on those days and you may be able to get them as they don’t get many and limit to one per person.

Grocery shopping kicked my butt today. I’m exhausted. I hadn’t been in awhile. I left my cart at the end of each aisle. That way I didn’t get fussed at for going the wrong way. I noticed one guy doing the same thing.

I only went to Publix here in SWFL. It was busier than I expected for 3:00pm. Most people had masks on. Everyone was polite and patient.

My kid is working 2 jobs now so I can’t always wait for her to shop. I suited up, used my hand sanitizer and didn’t touch anything I wasn’t putting in my cart.

I did not see limits on anything but there were notices that low stock on paper items was due to the suppliers. There were paper products of all kinds. It just so happened I needed foil, toilet paper, paper towels and garbage bags. I was hoping they wouldn’t limit me to 1 item.

I didn’t see anything that looked like they had low stock on as far as food and produce. There was a huge display of water bottles being it’s hurricane season.

I spent $112 and that seemed really high for the amount of things I bought. I didn’t buy any meat at all. I needed dairy items and they seemed pricey. Cheese, yogurt, milk, etc. I also noticed there weren’t as many sale items.

I love Publix but their prices are so much higher than other grocery stores. I've really begun to limit what I buy there to things the other stores don't carry that I use, such as organic chicken and several other items only they carry.

I wish we had choices that were closer. I have to go out of my way to get to Winn Dixie, Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Aldi’s, etc. They are in very busy areas too. Higher population, higher risk.

There is a WalMart nearby but it is rare I go there. I don’t feel it is clean / safe. My kid will go only during daylight and only if it is necessary.

I have to go out of my way too. I sure wish we had a Fresh Market.

The Asian and some Hispanic stores have fresh fish. But omg last time, pulled up in front of one, by the time I opened the door I was ready to vomit. The smell of rotting fish was too much. That was my last journey into that area. And we’re so close to the ocean. No reason for health concerns.

well my husband found breadmaker instant yeast and lysol spray disinfectant at Walmart!
those items didn't even show on their website and there were only a few of each so I think they get small quantities in, place on shelf, and gone fast

The few times that I do go to the grocery store, I try to check up on things that I don’t need at the time but could use a backup or two. Yeast being one of them. Flour. Sugar. The basics. Not hoarding, just heavier than usual backup. Instead of one bag of sugar as a backup, I’ll have two. Or if something’s on sale. Canned goods especially. If it comes down to it, really, unless it is family, who’s going to give you food in a bad emergency? Not a couple of days emergency, but 2-3-4 weeks of no grocery stores. Or months?

agree - I always try to have backup like an extra margarine in the freezer or an extra ketchup in the cupboard type thing but I should use your idea and have two extra instead of one extra

he did grab two yeasts - I think he was really missing breadmaker bread lol

I'm not sure what the definition of hoarding is ... maybe when you run out of space and have to use the garage for extra storage?

Probably it’s meaning changes with each of us. I don’t have room in the house for three dozen cases of toilet paper. Or three dozen cases of anything else. So the spare bathroom had a case of tp in the tub. Along with some extra dry goods. Just a little extra. Garage storage in Houston isn’t a great idea. Even for paper goods. I live two houses over from the bayou, a creek for simple analogy. Critters if we’re not careful.
