Detectives have arrested four men after reports a gang tried to kidnap five girls in a sleepy village in Yorkshire.

Two separate reports were made of alleged abduction attempts in Gilberdyke, East Riding, on the evening of Wednesday, June 26, after the girls were asked to get in a vehicle. In another disturbing report, two girls aged nine experienced men "acting suspiciously" before a Samaritan intervened.
