I noticed the photo of reporter Jeff Weiner was removed from the BKH editorial. I doubt BKH obtained written permission to use the photo, which is copyrighted...but, who knows? :waitasec: Yeah, if it were me, I'd sure ask permission to use Jeff's photo in that sort of editorial....<wink>

They don't know enough not to use a copyrighted photo of a reporter? I wonder if they have asked permission from the person who wrote the songs on Caylee's DVD they are selling for $30? Unless they wrote and performed the song themselves. They could not possibly have an attorney looking over their shoulder. They would also need KC's permission to sell the DVDs. KC is free and has to give permission to someone to use Caylee's name. Do they think people would not realize this??? When people put themselves into a "dunking booth" it's illogical to think they will never get wet.

More importantly, where was Caylee?

Have the A's actually searched for a missing child,supported the family of a missing child or contributed in any way to any other cause yet? I get the feeling their goals are more related to issues which will help them overcome their own. For instance, a family unity walk ... seems to be something they wish they'd had more than something they are able to assist others with.

Isn't it just a little late in the year to be planning a dinner dance for December? It has to be the busiest time of the year for events, corporate holiday parties, people visiting Disney for the Christmas season, etc. And they are just starting to plan this with a "volunteer" staff, of course. They do a lot of "Fly by the seat of my pants" events......guess if it doesn't work out they'll blame the newspaper. And, good lord, what are they planning on putting up for auction????? lol

Considering the scanty crowd that turned up for their Unity Walk, they could hold this dinner/dance in the coat check room. I think this whole idea is just fluff to counteract what the Sentinel wrote about them. They are trying to look like a real charity.

That is one of the funniest things I have read in a long time. I bet the OS would love getting these people in a courtroom because they would finally have to expose everything and the newspaper would finally have their answers. They talk about being threatened and then threaten the newspaper themselves????? Do the people of Orlando really want their money handled by an organization who can't deal with a situation as a mature adult, but resorts to name calling as if it will win people over.

I don't think the OS is intimidated by a charity that only had a bottom line of a little over $300 in 2010. Has anyone seen a tax statement filed for 2010? I hope OS keeps up the good work. If they wait too late, the hotel won't give them any space... Hotels near attractions like Disney are usually booked far in advance of an "event"... Not the month before... Maybe they can just book a room at the hotel and call it done.. :twocents:

Excellent justification and excuse to hold Florida's swankiest social function of the year (the guests of honor being the Anthony's of course) ... at no expense to themselves.

Better yet every community has a food bank, libraries have trees with names of needy children on them with what they would like for Christmas. The town usually collects, too, for the needy during the holidays. It's not necessary to give to a "national" charity to collect in Texas for a needy family in Ohio when that money could help one of your neighbors. That's just common sense. What is wrong with these people????? Buy a case of peas and donate it to a food bank, a turkey, couple of boxes of Bisquick. Plus you can do this year round. Whenever you buy canned goods, get two and put one away in a bag to drop off at the local food bank. jmo

At one time David Sears did offer on one of his websites (still available on google) to donate 50% of his speaker fees to BKH. Those of you who've been on this thread a while know what I mean...<wink>

I'm not surprised they made the announcement prior to making arrangements. Par for the course. What surprises me is that they haven't sold tickets in advance of making those arrangements, as they did the bricks. Oh, wait, yeah...now the bricks weren't sold....even tho it's all over their website as such. How confusing!
