DESIGN: It was the understanding that Caylee's favorite character was Winnie the Pooh. Inspiration for the design was found in the context of the Winnie the Pooh story. Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin would adventure in a wooded area of London called Ashdown Forest, known as "Hundred Aker Woods". Hundred Aker Woods is the fictional land inhabited by Winnie the Pooh and his friends in the series of children's stories, Winnie the Pooh, written by author A. A. Milne.

The young boy Christopher Robin accompanies Pooh and his friends on regular visits to the wooded area during many make-believe adventures. During these adventures places such as Poohsticks Bridge, Big Stones and Rox And Stream and Six Pine Trees were visited. The natural amenities of the memorial site created an opportunity to mimic and integrate the sequence of environmental spaces as seen in the woods of Winnie the Pooh.

I searched all owners for that portion of Suburban Drive on the OC Property Appraiser website looking for someone from Winter Park and the only name that came up was TH, shows land as vacant.
This might be the owner.

The name of the owner of that property has been known for quite a long time. I don't think his name is important, nor do I think he should be dragged into this.

Question part - see post by What's that clue and link:
http://www.guidestar.org/FinDocument...06186014-Z.pdf

I just re-checked my email where I had sent this on and to a friend to help sleuth this at the time and it was 2008 not 2006 but his original email shows 2006 so he must have had his date wrong on his computer. IT WAS DEFINITELY 2008 when he contacted me.

The plot lists the property as Vacant HOA and it appears TH was the developer since he is listed as owning a realty company. What we don't know is, is TH the actual owner or does the property belong to the HOA? jmo

During #CaseyAnthony $ hearing next wk state will call as witnesses high ranking officers from four agencies involved in search for #caylee

??? Hearing next week?

I think this is on the money spent for searching for a MISSING Caylee. They plan on going after KC for the money spent looking for Caylee when KC knew she was deceased. jmo

One of the Segura kids won a New Jersey town Talent Search contest in 2007. He won with a magic act. That alone might have prompted an opportunity for the family to try to sell the kid's talent as a party entertainer.

Shame to miss every opportunity to cash in, eh?

I think his name is important since he might be able to verify whether or not BKH has bought the property or has plans to do so.

This really isn't funny but it does make me laugh because anyone, anyone who has gotten personally involved in this case manages to come through it with scars. What can be worse than having LE discover remains of a child on property you own? Whether you like it or not you become involved. If it were me and I owned the property I'd turn it over to the City of Orlando which owns the property adjoining it just to get rid of it. It will always be a sad reminder of what happened there but no longer your problem. jmo

I found the obit earlier too but didn't post it because it contained family information.
But I then started researching welterweight boxers who died on or about that date. Still searching but haven't found even one.

Ashdown Forest that association with the fact that Caylee was cremated makes me shutter. Caylee never willing visited the woods, she was placed there without anyone caring who would protect her body. The association between make-believe adventures is too close to the Zanny kidnapped Caylee. Winnie the Pooh actually had someone who cared for him, Chrisopther Robin....this in no way mimic's in real life what happened to Caylee in those environmental spaces.

Maybe a more appropriate theme would be Alice in Wonderland, mushrooms and all. jmo

Who said Winne TP was Caylee's favorite? (in an earlier post) She didn't carry around a WTP animal. I think WTP was Cindy's favorite - didn't she have that theme in FICA's bedroom when she was little?

Disney WILL sue for copyright infringement. I knew a local artist who did murals in kid's rooms. He had painted 3-4 using Disney characters. Someone blew him in to Disney and he was sued and lost to Disney's high-powered lawyers.

I finally got brave and called the planning division of Orange County Planning and Zoning. At this time there has been no application put in for re-zoning this lot. She was very nice and helpful. She said that it is also possible since this is going to be a memorial that instead of re-zoning a request could be made for a special excemption that would not go through her office. She gave me the number to call, but I only got voicemail. I didn't want leave my name and number.
She did explain that if an application is made the zoning commission makes recommendations of denial or approval. The next step is that it is presented to the county commissioners. Signs have to be posted at the property. These signs will have to be placed 10 days before the county commission meeting, and cannot be taken down till after this issue is settled. Land owners in the area will be notified by mail. How far away from the property the land owners depends on the size of the property. This is for re-zoning. I haven't found out how the special excemption works. Everything always seems to lead nowhere with this project. hmmmmmm

Good to know. Thanks for the legwork. Wonder if they've heard from other 'concerned citizens' about this memorial and the proposed location for it.

Agreed. Your observations are spot on. This has 'inappropriate' written all over it.

..winnieTP was the theme in kc's room when she was little---CA and kc then used those items for caylee's room.

..when i think WTP and caylee-----what i most remember is that she was tossed into the swamp with her winnie TP blanket.

Yes, yes, yes and these developers think this is a great idea for a "theme". What is wrong with people????? jmo

Considering all the time they've had, there doesn't seem to have been much real thought put into it at all

Did you notice that in the design even the "lightning" tree will be featured? (legend 7)
Wonder if that tree even will survive their long term pipe dream of implementation. It looks like their 'theme" was selected based on the most popular "URL favorites" , one of the tasks of their "imaginary?" volunteers or may be a software query type program.
