Guardian Angels watching the Anthony Home

I don't know what I'd do if I were the Anthony's...I always try to remember, "There but for the grace of God go I."

"There but for the grace of God go I." A powerful reminder for all of us.

"There but for the grace of God go I." A powerful reminder for all of us.
I can honestly say that I have no worries about my children killing one of their own and covering it up. I pay close attention to my grands and what is going on around them. It is part of my job as a grandparent to watch out for them and to act if I see something wrong.

If it did happen, I would not be sitting in a house waiting hand n foot on my child as if they were some celebrity. My child would be sitting in jail after I had done everything possible to make them confess without a lawyer present. I would have known what happened BEFORE I called LE and my child would probably have a few bruises to cart to court. I wouldn't have protesters on my lawn...I would have supporters.

So no...it is not "There but for the Grace of God go I", at least in my book.

Thanks for the reminder that we hold some responsibility for what happens in our life. At the very least we are responsible for how we react to tragedy in our life. Even if our intent was not to cause harm, it is important to know how our behavior contributes to such situations IMO.

Thank you. I get a little weary of the suggestion that nobody knows how they would react in the same situation, therefore discussion or comments are unfair. I've been around a while and I do know myself and I know myself in times of stress and tragedy. I wouldn't behave as the A's are if my daughter had "mismanaged" (or worse) my grandchild I'd practically raised. People need to speak for themselves. I still feel pity for the family, though, for what Casey has brought down on them, and what they've brought down on themselves for how they've chosen to deal with it. It just all pales in comparison to what Caylee went through, whatever her fate.

Now I think we are splitting hairs.

The protestors that are calm, quiet and dignified, but choose to display their "displeasure" with the Anthony's have my blessing (not that they need it). I don't have a problem with a peaceful display. I don't think being there serves ANY purpose whatsoever other than to attempt to rile up the Anthony's or get on tv. I think it is a waste of good time and energy, but it is their choice. If they want to show off their 1st amendment rights...go for it. But don't park your cars on the street, and don't block traffic. Have your little protest but don't bother the neighbors who are not a party to this.

BUT here is my point - every night that protestors are there...SOME feel it necessary to scream and shout. They yell profanities. Some throw things like the other night. They park their cars on the street, hang out. and create additional traffic in the neighborhood. I fully support a person's 1st amendment rights...until it infringes on the rights of others. Like the right of the neighbors to live peacfully and securely in their own home. Do you think they feel safe and secure with people standing outside their homes yelling the stuff they do and loitering around? It would infuriate me if I lived next door and my daughter was exposed to that type of language and conduct. That is NOT the kind of example that should be set for supporting 1st amendment rights. You can argue all you want that they have a right to be there...and I will argue right back that the neighbors should have rights too. So why aren't you defending those rights as passionately as you are the rights of the protestors? That is all I am trying to do.
Do you believe a woman has the right to go to a clinic that provides abortion without being harassed and terrorized? If so, have you stood up for their rights? My main issue here is that I am against the A family, or their neighbors, being given any more consideration or rights than any other American. That is what they are asking for. I don't want to see the neighbors harassed, that goes without saying. I would hope that doing so would be against the law and if it isn't then the neighbors should be protesting at city hall. The GAs clearly took sides in the interview with the Orlando news station and appears to have acted aggressively against a couple...and did so with no direct knowledge of what the couple may have done....is that acceptable? They have no right to jump on the hood of someone's car or to block the path of another's car....most certainly when THEY did not witness the behavior of that person.

I personally think that LE put themselves in a hole when they did not act upon the charges filed against GeoA. How are they now going to act on any charges against a protester without causing even further anger and chaos? It has become a free-for-all from both sides and the neighbors are caught in the middle. I personally think the GAs have done nothing but create more conflict and have served no good purpose from what I've read/heard.

That neighbor is a 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and ought to be arrested...it looked to me like he was fuelled on drugs or alcohol or both.

snagged your link from the other thread, Eastside... thanks for getting it for us :)

I didn't really have much of an opinion on the Gaurdian Angels being there. I didn't like what I read of yesterdays events but figured everybody else is there, why not :p

Seeing the video you posted made me grateful to GA's, I think there would have been blood tonight. The way that 'neighbor' came out spittin', made me think he was a boxer type. That one is the scariest I've seen thus far.

I was happy with the way the GAs handled it...but would that neighbor have behaved like that if they weren't there? He had a big mouth, but looked like a scared little thing when the other guy started getting closer to him!

Ya, and George just HADDDDdd to come out to deliver water. :bang:

Just a few posts above, curiousitycat posted a theory that the Anthonys were addicted to the drama and would come out of their house for more.

Seems George proved her right

I agree, that neighbor had the worst mouth of any I've heard on video so far. It's my opinion he was itching to fight.

The wife beater tee was worn by an Anthony neighbor, I'm assuming you mean the white tank top. I saw nobody with the pants hanging off their butts.

The loud mouth cussing one that was spitting, that was also an Anthony neighbor, the one that said "I BLEEPIN' Kill you bas****", he also told the woman to carry her fat azz home.

I do think the Gaurdian Angels did a fine job last night, I fear there would have been blood shed if not for them.

The one that talked about smashing the guys head was also a neighbor.

Not nearly as bad as those who assume to know what pain George & Cindy are feeling, what they're doing to find Caylee, or the entire host of unknowns - and then what's worse is that they go on to applaud more pain, disruption of their neighborhood and encourage that these Grandparents are under constant pressure.

No one knows what the Anthony's are feeling, but I know what they are NOT FEELING and that is the pain of losing a grandchild at the hand of their own "bad seed" enough to look for the child.

They CLAIM over and over they want to find their grandchild because they believe her to be alive, but ALL THEY DO is sit in their house and put up web sites to collect MORE MONEY to pay their OWN bills.

They are SO SICKENING to watch do nothing in my opinion but inflame the protesters. All they have to do is walk back in that house and beat the crap out of that bad seed until she tells the truth.

No, Im not talking about the neighbors, Im talking about the kids you see on video almost everynight around that house. Last night that young girl was saying all kinds of stupid things to GA about how he's thier hero, they want to be just like him, etc, doing everything they can to provoke a fight, I dont blame that neighbor with the orange stripe shirt at all for what he said. The kid in the blue tshirt with his shorts falling off is the one that was provoking him, saying try me and swearing at him and thats when the orange shirt guy was like 'try me? Ill bust your head' or whatever he said. Im sorry, maybe some of ya'll dont agree with me, but kids hanging out across the street yelling, swearing and provoking people is doing NOTHING for Caylee. They arent there protesting Casey or holding signs about justice for Caylee, they are spouting thier mouths off to George and Cindy.

Some people don't like families that make babies disappear....don't you get that?

  • #415
It is like the never ending Jerry Springer show. :(

Congrats to George for going in the house and ignoring the protestors. Hopefully he can keep up the good work.

Could you imagine having small children and living near that.

LOL....

I think they would be more concerned about their small children around a family that makes babies go missing!!!

I will wait until sunday night to make my decision on how i feel. The attorny for the HOA has asked the anthonys to move the candle lite vigil to the back yard or inside or another location, now if the A's do that then i will agree the protestors need to be moved to the empty lot, but if the A's dont then that tells me that they are not doing the candle lite vigil for caylee and that they want to keep the drama going just as much and they really dont feel bad for there neighbors as they claim to. so tomorrow night will tell alot about the A's in my mind.

I
People keep forgetting that Caylee is the reason people are outraged. I can see why groups of younger people are flocking there. They are Casey's peers. They are angry. They have every right to be angry.

I soooo agree.

  • #418
Probably because they believe in the Justice system, and allowing it to work without vigilante justice.

Probably because they realize that Casey hasn't been charged with murder, is legally out on Bond, and is innocent until proven guilty.

And lastly, because there are 2 innocent Grandparents in that home as well who have a right to protection from mob mentality.

I'd say their reasons are more than valid.

I don't see THOSE grandparents as innocent.

Aye, and I noted that! He spit like he's done some boxing in his lifetime. I also noted what a nice shirt he had on and that he wasn't smoking and that he didn't live in a trailer--as he was from the neighborhood. Darn those preps! LOL

I didnt take it that way, maybe its just me but Id take the words of the GA's over two protestors in their car with a taser gun. Sounds to me like they were just making up the story about the GA's because they knew the police were called on them and wanted to cover thier @ss. Hopefully someone got a video of the real story.

Did you read the article? The GA refused to give police a statement....said he might be questioned about it later.
