A question has lingered throughout Nelson County and the surrounding region that has left many people praying and wondering during the past nine months — what happened to Alexis Murphy?

I plan on being at the courthouse early in the morning, that's why I am up so late tonight, can't sleep, hope we start to get some closure. I will be there solely to support Alexis's family, but will check in each evening as to what I learned.

What time is he due in court?

The trial is scheduled from May 1st-14th.

Nelson County Commonwealth Attorney Anthony Martin says he has about 50 witnesses and needs at least 2 weeks for the trial.

It's expected to take two days to pick a jury that can remain fair and unbiased during the trial.

Randy Taylor's trial starts Thursday in Nelson County Circuit Court and is expected to last about two weeks. The 48-year-old Taylor is charged with first-degree murder and abduction with intent to defile.

Court is in recess so far 10 potential jurors have been selected. Were told 24 will be selected then those will be narrowed to 14
