I really want to know why some of the things being brought up here weren't brought up in last years trial .. I think there surely wouldn't have been a mistrial declared if it was presented ... anyone else agree?

demarino appears to have come forward only this year.

I feel kind of bad for Demarino. He pulled at my heartstrings.

  • #643
He doesn't seem to have anything to gain from speaking out now. Right? Well besides justice for Heather.

Geesh thats a long lunch.

Story time! "The Good Ol' Days," presented by Markley Dennis.

Looks like his child has changed him, and he finally reached out. I wonder how many other family members are holding back.
I think the silence has finally been broken.
Maybe Tammy will bear the full brunt of it?
If Sid goes down on this charge, i would hope the Prosecution ramps the charges back up for her. Here's hoping anyway.

Motion by the defense for a directed verdict.

Motion for directed verdict from Defense.

Didn't he pull the directed verdict request previously too?

Motion by the defense for a directed verdict.

Is it unorthodox for the Judge to basically tell the defense to make this motion?? I don't feel good about this. Maybe I am misreading it?

Okay, I'm driving to Conway to take the jurors out to lunch, in case Dennis rules against the directed verdict.

Kidding, but I am going to grab a bite. Y'all hold down the fort.

so if SM had the info on his phone, which this witness said he did, doesn't prove he is guilty of obstruction of justice? or would that be "hearsay" ...

IMO, yes it is.

Why didn't the defense call Canturbury if they wanted him on the stand so badly?

I think the content wasn't allowed because it didn't happen ON December 17th or 18th. I would imagine it WILL be allowed in the kidnapping trial.

Maybe it was also a burner phone?

The jury has been sent on their lunch break until 2pm. The judge says he will now handle some legal matters.

Liz Cooper:

Solicitor says she isn't going to ask witness to reveal what Moorer told him - just that witness had that convo with Moorer.

:gaah:

I want to know....
