I also like that NL established that Bri did not know of LongBeards and had never been there, and she and Heather didn't go there.

The photo Steve took of Heather learning to drive his car.

bdickerson tweet:
The witness indicated he got a text from Elvis at 2:43 a.m. on Dec. 18, 2013. It was the last time he heard from her.

Taylor Herlong:
Schiraldi says Heather did not get any phone calls. She stepped away briefly to use the restroom one time on the date.

Schiraldi is being cross-examined now by Truslow. Schiraldi says his first contact with law enforcement was 2 days after.

He says he was interviewed while at work (Wicked Tuna) for 15 minutes by police. Truslow confirms he was the last person with Heather.

Hey Truslow, HE'S NOT ON TRIAL!

ugh .. so annoying!!

I'm sorry if I missed this already being answered, but do we know if SM is taking the stand during this trial at all? *fingers crossed*

I seriously doubt it.

This poor guy. He went on one date with a girl he knew from high school, and now he's forever associated with this. One date.

Truslow shut up and sit down! Stop trying to twist this around and lay blame on this poor guy.

Look at your client and your wife if you want to see who last saw Heather alive.

Atta girl, Nancy! Nice redirect. She just shut Truslow's line of questioning down.

bdickerson tweets:

During cross examination by the defense, Schiraldi indicated he was the last person who was with Elvis prior to her disappearance. He said he had a 15-minute conversation with police on Dec. 20, and had never gone to law enforcement before they came to him.

During questioning by Truslow, Schiraldi indicated he didn't feel he had a duty to voluntarily go to police and discuss his interaction with Elvis on Dec. 18.

Schiraldi said he kept up with Elvis on social media prior to the two of them going on their date.

The witness said he did not go back out anymore after getting home from his date with Elvis.

On redirect from the prosecution, Schiraldi said he gave his permission to turn over his phone to the police after they contacted him following Elvis' disappearance.

"Heather's phone conversations are not my business." - Schiraldi said, when the prosecution discusses Elvis' cellphone records.

There are no further questions and the witness is excused.

Examine. Cross-examine. Redirect. Re-cross.

Anybody in the peanut gallery want to badger this poor guy while this game of ping pong is going on?

The next witness is Jessica Cooke, who worked at The Tilted Kilt with Elvis in 2013.

___

Taylor Herlong:

Cooke says Heather was a good employee and there was never a time that she had not been able to get in touch with Heather.

Cooke says she also knows Sidney from working at the restaurant. Says he drove a white, Ford truck. Says Heather was dating Sidney.

Cooke says in the beginning Heather took the breakup hard but in December of 2013 she was "back to being Heather".

Cooke says she never saw Sidney drive a black truck.

Attorneys on both sides are now having a side bar with Judge Dennis.

bdickerson:

Cooke said Moorer parked in the same area she, Elvis and other Tilted Kilt employees parked.

There are no further questions and the witness is excused.

Seeing one of those kids lean behind the back of the other one to whisper to TM enrages me!

bdickerson:

The next witness is Will Lynch, a detective with the North Myrtle Beach Police Department. He said he has also served with the 15th Circuit's Drug Enforcement Unit.

Lynch said he received training on a device that will take someone's personal cellphone, tablet, GPS unit, etc., read the data off of it, and put that data into a readable format.

The witness said it's a read-only piece of equipment that pulls data off of a personal device.

Lynch is handed a copy of one of the reports that was generated after he used the device to read information off a cellphone tied to this case.

The attorneys are having a sidebar with the judge.

That reminds me! This morning while the interview recording was playing there was an incident that the WMBF camera pulled back to focus on. The boy was whispering to TM and she gave him a long response direct into his ear. I read it as he was somewhat distressed. Did it seem like that to anyone else?

It really bothers me that they have the kids there for all of this.

I missed that. It really saddens me to the core that those kids are there. I'm glad one of them isn't there. I wish none of them were. They will never be "normal." There's no coming back from this. Even if they believe the lies, one day down the road, they'll have an a-ha moment and realize just what their parents have done - not only criminally, but morally by putting them through this.

I agree.

In addition, it's been theorized here at WS before that TM and SM spent their cross-country trip plotting this whole plan to kill Heather upon their return, and I always blew that off because even though I thought it was pre-meditated, I didn't think it was THAT pre-meditated.

However, after listening to SM's interview this morning, when he said that he and TM used their trip to "talk about their relationship after the kids went to sleep" I have reconsidered and I think they WERE planning and plotting on the trip. I just don't know WHY! Why not just leave this poor girl alone?

And, did any of the innocent kids hear any of this plotting when they were supposed to be asleep? :(
