SM's crying, when asked if anything has affected his decision not to testify.

Liz Cooper:
Moorer getting emotional as he thinks about testifying.
After a few mins discussing with attorneys: Moorer will NOT be taking the stand and testifying in his obstruction of justice trial.

Kaitlin Stansell @kaitlinstansell
Sidney Moorer will remain silent and will not testify.

FFS I just can't figure him out or my own damn opinion of what really happened.

He hesitated when asked if he's been happy with his lawyers. He seemed frustrated.

bdrickerson:
Moorer keeps dabbing at his eyes with a paper towel. He appears emotional.

Kaitlin Stansell @kaitlinstansell
He's also dabbing his eyes with a napkin and not looking at the judge as the judge speaks to him.

Tears from TM when the phone ping was allowed. KT tried hard to not have it allowed.

Sidney will be asked one more time, once the jury is back in the courtroom, if he wants to testify. He can still change his mind at this point.

I'm SO curious as to what that was all about, if not posturing. Is the weight of GUILT too much for him to continue to bear...along with having to live with his wife if found not guilty?!?

Closing Arguments now. Asst. Solicitor Nancy Livesay is now giving the prosecution's closing statements.

bdickerson:
"Obstruction of justice is just what you would think it would be." - Livesay to the jury

Liz Cooper:
Solicitor: "all this is about is common sense".
