Poston told WMBF News back in May that the federal lawsuit would reveal what happened to Elvis.

Snipped and bolded from the article...

So if they know what happened enough to reveal it in their lawsuit that means either they did it or they were running an independent investigation. Which Sidney's attorney said in closing is ILLEGAL. And is why a couple people were arrested for OOJ in 2014. So by all means, file the lawsuit. I can't wait to see it blow up in y'all's faces.

Similar type attorney. Out here in the Southwest, we had a disbarred attorney hit a close nearby town. He set up a shop in a small town about 50 plus miles from here. The residents became worried when his under aged step daughter and him were getting too snug. Big tales of rituals being preformed at his business too. The town talked about it on Facebook. The disbarred attorney sued everyone! Including the city of and mayor, police department, you name it. It was his niche in order to not work and make money. Filing lawsuit after lawsuit. He sued anything that moved. Poston reminds me of the dude so much. They don't win, just become a PIA for many folks and towns. It's hard to believe he's even trying this scam in this day in age. jmo (disclaimer, I was not involved in the scammer's lawsuits in my town)

Many suits are filled as more of a nuisance/frivolous claim-- go for the really deep pockets, hope that one of the deep pockets wants no publicity or little publicity, and the insurers of said deep pockets settle so it goes away. It happens in a lot of auto cases where someone makes a big claim and adds lots of damages so that the insurers just settle despite their clients being at no fault.

Surprised they are not bringing in AC...how could she be part of the truck cleaning and not be questioned further or brought in as an accomplice or charged with obstruction of justice???

Where is Heather???

I wonder if by going after Facebook if someone there will vaguely research the case, see how much TM used Facebook in her vitriol, and decide to fight back. As in, pull all of her deleted stuff and the info on her changing posts. I kind of would if I saw a convicted kidnapper was suing my company for some BS reason when my servers may have dirt on her.

The Court Junkie podcast did an episode or maybe two about this case, and I’m sure she’ll probably (hopefully!) release an update soon.

(COURT Junkie, which is a good and classy podcast, not to be confused with Crime Junkie, who are lying, unethical plagiarizing thieves.)

Yes! I would love some independent podcaster to do a deep deep full season dive into this case. Going through FB posts, Interviewing locals, jurors, family, prosecutors, etc. Get people talking and hopefully lead us to Heather

I have no issues with her Disney Obsession...I live and breath Disney pretty much every day. I have to...It's my job. And I love my job. I do have Disney shirts and Disney Dooney purses...which are not cheap!
I know there are several people on here who knew her and they are Disney fans too. Being a fan of Disney doesn't make you a murderer.
I think this turn of slamming has gone in the wrong direction.
I knew her from Disboards and as a Travel Agent. Do I agree with everything they did or how they did it....no...but I don't run my normal life that way either. She got freebies and attention by doing a bit of scamming at times. It has nothing to do with a Disney obsession....

So. About Disney adults.

Tammy and I met because of Disney and being travel agents at the time. We both booked Disney travel and had specialized training events on-site. I became an agent for a little extra money and to help me save on my own travel. It didn't work like that in the end and I left it because I make more money as a writer who writes about Disney than an agent who sold it. Plus, I hate dealing with clients who think not getting a dinner reservation is a travesty and now their "whole trip is ruined!' o_O

I'm a Disney adult. No, my house isn't Mickey Moused to the nth degree, I don't wear a Disney tee on the daily (as a matter of fact, I never allowed my kids to wear licensed clothing when they were little unless they were outside playing because I personally felt that was tacky). But, as a grown woman, I have a few Disney Dooneys I do carry, and I have a Disney antennae topper on my car (as well as my annual passholder magnet and a vinyl for my Disney media site / podcast). My home office has a lot of Disney stuff in it but no where else in my house will you actually find anything that immediately makes you think Disney obsessed. I go to the parks on average 8-10 times a year and I am seriously considering moving to central Florida because when I'm invited to cover a media event, which is pretty often, it would just be so much easier to already be down there. (Plus I actually like it down there outside of the theme parks.)

I didn't grow up going to Disney, and didn't go until I was an adult with kids myself and even then we went to celebrate my remission from cancer and to take that 'once-in-a-lifetime' family vacay. But, I did fall in love that first trip. Why? Because it was happy. Customer service was amazing. The Disney bubble was real and you were completely isolated from the real world. For me, my real world was courtrooms, exam rooms, conference rooms. I dealt with ugly, terrible things done to humans by other humans on the daily and Disney was finally a place I could just let go and be young at heart again. Free to imagine, play, be inspired. Am I obsessed? I don't think so, but after reading some thoughts on it here, maybe I am. Do I care? Not one whit.

And while I think she is vile and awful and deserves quadruple the time she was sentenced to, she wasn't really obsessed either with Disney, it was more she was obsessed with having the perfect family, life, everything. And unfortunately, Disney always makes things seem perfect, even when they aren't, and she latched onto that hard. She was given credence on the Disboards (by some) and it escalated from there to become one big fairy tale in her mind, where she was the Queen and had married Prince Charming o_O and was now living the happily ever life at her 'resort-style' custom built home.

Sorry for such a long-winded response but I just wanted to express my own opinion of being a Disney adult and her obsession with the facade of perfect.

That was soooo well said Dawn! And that's why you are the writer!

I'm with you guys. I don't think they were that obsessed with Disney so much as she was obsessed with status. Which is why she was always scamming to get things. Cheaper, better, bigger, etc. And Disney isn't cheap so when you have a family it is kind of seen as the Pinnacle. I'm sure if it had been after the kids left the house she'd have been trying to get trips to Europe and crap.

I had to laugh at his comment about it being his firm’s top priority. Isn’t he the only employee of his firm? And something tells me they are his only clients so of course they r his top priority. Ya good luck Mr. Poston. I think the Elvis’s have more ground to sue for pain and suffering your clients have caused them. MOO

Asking a serious question....does this gentleman have Asperger's?

Nobody thinks you're a weirdo, rest assured :). I have several friends at Disney this week (based on what they are posting on Facebook) and I'm super jelly, especially because of the food & wine festival!! (Bucket list)

I'm not sure, but during SM's most recent (and hopefully not his last) trial, the defense attorneys seemed to have some sort of disconnection from the proceedings going on at times, IMO. Like they couldn't keep up, and then ask relevant questions when it was their turn to examine/cross-examine a witness.

He was not part of the defense team, though. (Although I'm sure he'd like to be)

Yes, you're right. Sorry, I wasn't clear about that. There's just something different about him also, IMO.

I'm just so surprised that SM did not make a deal prior to the trial. He should have known that if TM was found guilty and received 30 years and they supposedly committed the crime together, then he was most likely to receive the very same thing. Can't figure out why he didn't try for a lesser sentence. JMO

Hi lonetraveler! Hope you are feeling better. Thanks for chiming in To keep the discussion open. The silence now in the case to find Heather is driving me nuts. I really wish the focus would now shift to AC and her involvement. My belief she knows what happened to Heather. Could fear of being the next to serve a long jail sentence be enough to make her talk? I wonder...JMO

MOO i think for SM to actually go AGAINST TM will be if anything threatens his kids. I do believe he may put them first in that situation.
