Martin says the pay phone was odd, because people who have cell phones don't usually go find pay phones to use instead.

This testimony is reminding me of when SM responded to the Detective about the payphone call and said, "they still have payphones?" Haha! Nice try, Sidney.

Martin says he saw a payphone call was made to Heather's phone. He says he talked to Sidney Moorer about the payphone call. After that discussion Martin says he didn't need to know more about who made the call and they continued their investigation into the Moorer's.

Martin testified once they found out Sidney Moorer made the phone call he said he became suspicious because when someone has a cell phone they don't go in search for other phones to use. Martin testified Sidney did have a working cell phone @WBTWNews13

Martin testifies Elvis called the pay phone number back several times, and said repeated calls like that at 2 in the morning raised their suspicions @WBTWNews13

Martin says after the payphone call to Heather's phone, she tried calling that number back repeatedly, which seemed suspicious to Martin. He says right after failed attempts at reaching someone on the other end, Heather dialed the cell phone number belonging to Sidney Moorer.

Martin says he didn't notice a pattern of repeated calling on Heather's phone records before. Defense has begun their cross examination.

Quick side view of defense attorney with his glasses does look like Truslow a tad.

Martin testified Elvis called the pay phone several times after a near 5 min conversation & that number had never shown up on her records before
Defense arguing Martin can't say for sure that Heather Elvis never called that pay phone number before from someone else's cell phone.

The defense argues that Heather Elvis could have called that pay phone before, from a different number.

HCPD is testifying about phone records and notes that Heather Elvis made zero calls to the payphone before the day she went missing. Then tried to call it several times.

This cross examination is painful. I feel like they have nothing and are trying to confuse and befuddle the jury in a desperate attempt.

  • #78
Tammy, as her attorney is arguing that someone repeatedly dialing a number must really want to talk to that person.

The last phone record on Heather Elvis' phone was at 3:41 a.m. Dec 18th, 2013. Defense argues that her phone could've ran out of battery. @WBTWNews13

Defense is discussing repeated calls placed from Heather Elvis's phone to the payphone. Defense Attorney Casey Brown asking Martin if its possible if someone is calling someone else over an over and they don't answer, that person doesn't want to talk? Martin says yes its possible
