I wish we could hear what's going on now ... I wonder if Casey asks the judge "would it surprise you?" LOL
They're going to DISCUSS LAW...in otherwords, tell Casey his questions are not appropriate and stop making it all about HIM. His ex-wifes house burning down is irrelevant.

#TammyMoorer - Audio is not allowed when witness isn't present. I assume the defense is currently arguing for a judgement of acquittal (dismiss charges) as is customary at the end of the prosecution case.

That was not a powerful finish.

Motion to dismiss coming from the defense when we come back, assuredly. I would wager that will be denied.

Dang, I wanna hear the defense ask for a directed verdict of not guilty, I haven't giggled all morning. :(

Casey is definitely listing something off for the judge. Even his hand gestures come across as condescending.

That wasn't Casey though ;). It was the older attorney. I keep forgetting his name.

OOOPS....Soz, Casey!!! lol

ETA: That's something I expected from Casey Brown not the older attorney, wth!! LOL

Casey looks like he's begging the judge...sure wish we could hear.

It is exceedingly rare for a judge to grant the motion to dismiss.

This audio blackout is bs in my opinion. We aren't the jury and there is no reason that the public shouldn't be allowed to hear the discussion when the jury is out of the room.

I agree. We were able to hear this part (and any time the attorneys addressed the court without jury present) in SM's trial. I think during this trial the press made a mistake in not muting the sound during breaks, when the attorneys and others could be overheard, so judge went into overkill on the muting. We really are missing part of the trial when they mute these parts.

So no Tammy lies, I mean, testimony

  • #833
Well geez, why didn't we get to see Sid testify? Wasn't he on the prosecutions list of witnesses?

  • #834
I gather the defense knows this motion isn't going anywhere, otherwise the experienced attack dog attorney (McCollum?) would be handling it.

Nancy is laying it out! I can see her talking nonstop and her head is moving! The Judge is just staring at her.

  • #836
The judge is paying close attention to what Nancy Livesay is saying.
