well the reporter is confirming he saw someone being taken away by ambualnce evern thought the spokesperson could not.

It could be she had nothing to do with the reported shots fired.

the journalist with telephoto lenses say they THINK it was an "african american woman"

are you listeing to the interview of the guy that was in there? kind of creepy. They told him to run to a group of officers and not to turn around or look back.

I'm listening to JBean's radio link. Police confirm the search but not that shots were fired. Also confirm victim is a woman but NOT a gunshot wound.

Also pulling up: 2 firetrucks, white school-type bus, and a mass-casualty unit vehicle. Another briefing in 45 min.

Still not confirming any gunshots. Tactical teams in the area. Alleged shots were in basement in Rayburn office building. Reportedly 2 women saw a man with a gun in the staff gym area, but he could have been a plainclothed officer.

Alleged: 2 women were employees of staff gym, they look 'very distraut', 'nervous', and 'worried'. More info at press briefing at 1:30 EDT.

The Capitol building re-opened a second time after being closed while Capitol Police searched for a possible gunman in a nearby office building. Police said they received a phone tip that shots had been fired in the garage of the Rayburn Office Building, where some members of the House have their offices. Later, there were reports that a gym in the building was being searched after two women reported a gunman. CNN's Dana Bash said there were later reports the women got it wrong.

Report from Congressman Kingston's office says that one of his staffers was taken to the hospital by ambulance "a little shaken" up by the lockdown, according to CNN TV. She was not shot or injured.

Listening a bit, but it's starting to sound like it's not much more than: 1. single phone call at 10:30 to Capitol police re: 'sounds' like a gunshot in garage at Rayburn bldg., 2. Two women who worked at the staff gym saw a man with a gun who could have been a plainclothes officer and 3. woman taken away in ambulance but NOT a gunshot victim.

Briefing at 1:30.
Seems like if it was a gunshot, more people would have called 911.

Thanks for the radio link JBean, it's been interesting. Want the weather report? Temps. 72-75 in DC area. Sunnier in NW. Scattered thunderstorms popping up this afternoon, some may be severe. Traffic sounds heavy leaving town. :)

Hello Floh,
They just said in a news report with a Sgt Kimberly Snyder(Capital Police Spokesperson)the the woman taken out and put in the ambulance was a result of a panic attack.
