Guns N' Roses to finally release `Democracy' album

Of course the Eagles and the Police said the same thing, right? :)

Now you've got me back to hoping like crazy!!! :genie: That would seriously be just plain awesome and maybe this time around they'd all be able to handle the success a little better.

Oh, FWIW it seems a lot of bands are doing the cd and vinyl release - surely record players have to be available again?? I know I missed them because of the artwork on the covers (and floved those that you could open up and have even more art!!). Hated the way they tended to warp though, so love being able to get both versions :)

This may sound silly but does anyone still have anything to play vinyl records on??
I gave that up a long time ago for cd.
I may have to give the GnR a listen but I am not a huge fan because of Axl and his attitude.

And Nickelbacks song is an awesome tribute to a great musician.
You know,at least to my ears Ive always prefered vinyl.
It always felt like it gave more 'depth' and 'weight' to the sound.
When I would hear someting on CD that I was used to on vinyl it just felt like someone turned the treble way up and turned the mids and bass way down.

A friend of mine said the same thing - they think the sound on vinyl was better because it wasn't SO perfect. I got rid of my record player years and years ago, so I won't be buying any albums any time soon. I still prefer the CD's.

A lot of people say the same thing, especially quality vinyl, which is heavier and thicker than the cheaper ones. The thing with CD's is no crackle, etc. But you can lose the richness of it, unless you have a good equalizer.
