A 15-year-old Odessa High School student reported someone tried to kidnap her near the school Tuesday morning.

At about 9:45 a.m., the student reported that around 8:15 a.m., a white male driving a white pickup grabbed her while she was walking to school and tried to force her in his vehicle, a news release stated.

The student said that she was able to get away from the man and ran to school, where she reported the incident to a counselor, the release stated. The release stated the student was not injured.
