That's one problem I have with Joe snatching Haleigh. He wouldn't have known that Misty wouldn't call LE, or that Ron wouldn't have come after him. Flying into a rage and hurting her on the spot is another story. Or, to borrow from Emeralgem's theory about Ron, he might've intended to hurt Misty, and Haleigh got in the way.

I guess where my head was going with that was that folks in a certain realm will go to great lengths to avoid LE or avoid doing something to attract unnecessary attention unless it has a huge payoff either monetarily, (big $$) personally ("love", a woman) or materialistically (drugs, arms) A missing adult or a missing firearm etc doesnt get the OMG - APB - Amber Alert - everyone break out all the stops reaction that a young child (and rightly so) gets when they "go missing." (gah I hate that phrase) so I was thinking it would be just too much trouble even for him/them. But IDK.

As far as all the complications with a missing child go, I think we're talking again about a rational person with a rational state of mind. IMO, this was done by somebody in a rage, with a very irrational state of mind that may have been made worse by taking drugs.

Yes, I can totally get on board with the rage element perhaps being involved. (Dont know that it was Joe's rage, but rage... yes.)

IMHO.. She wasn't brutally assaulted and as far as any of the players removing every trace of evidence from Ron's MH, IMHO the incident didn't even occur at 202 Green Lane.. It happened at the Croslin's residence on Magnolia or in the vicinity of Shell Harbor near the Croslin's residence...JMHO

Attorney Robert Fields said 18-year-old Misty Croslin told investigators the attack came after her cousin arrived looking for a gun belonging to Haleigh's father, Ronald Cummings. Croslin was living in a Satsuma mobile home with Cummings at the time.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what I read but seeing that I've read in a couple different places now that Tommy showed up at the MH that night - no reports on why or what they were doing (maybe bringing Misty a cup of detergent? IDK) Also, no reports on what Tommy was doing during the attack.

The reports have gone on to say JO showed up in search of a gun, that was supposed to be at the MH when he couldn't find it he took Haleigh in the place of the gun. Makes no sense to me - but as Steely Dan has said:

Why would he go to the Crolin's home looking for a gun belonging to RC? Why would the back door be bricked if something happened at the Croslin's? With all the lies and covering for someone - I can't get a grasp on who? did what?

So I still don't understand how Misty could hide, while listening to Haleigh being brutalized (if that is what happened) when she could have dialed 911 and stopped it.

Croslin told investigators she saw her cousin Joe Overstreet put the screaming child in a black bag, and she heard a van door open and close outside.

What I wonder about is, if LE hadn't moved in and busted them for drugs, would LE have been able to infiltrate the group and gain the trust of one of them to tell where Haleigh is. Now the group has nothing to lose. What incentive do they have to tell where Haleigh is? I think busting them was a bad move, as far as strategy. This is JMO.

Kant, I can't speak for anyone else but here are my thoughts concerning the who when and where...

LE did state at one point they found no evidence of a crime being committed at 202 Green Lane.. They also stated they didn't know where the crime was comitted or what time it happened IF there was a crime committed..

When Sheriff declared this case a homicide, he was asked IF he thought the crime was committed in the Shell Harbor area.. He stated that was a good possibility..
The Croslins lived in a trailer on Magnolia.. Just a hop, skip and a jump from Shell Harbor...On February 9th Hank Sr and Lisa were in Gainesville because Hank Sr. had been in an automobile accident..

Nay Nay claims when she brought Misty back she took her to one of her brother's houses because Misty had to babysit ( which brother, we don't know).. However it was either Chelsey or Lindsey who revealed to AH Misty was staying at her parent's residence while her parents were in Gainesville at the hospital..
Witnesses have come forward and stated they saw Haleigh get in the van with Misty at the bus stop.. Some have speculated it wasn't Misty but Chelsey, Timmy's wife... Whoever it was... they drove off in the opposite direction of the MH located at 202 Green Lane...
Someone also revelaed Ron C showed up at the bus stop that afternoon and when he found out Haleigh got in the van, he went looking for Misty and the van...
I'm thinking when he caught up with Misty all hell broke loose..And the incident occurred at Hank Sr. and Lisa residence on Magnolia or in the immediate vicinity.. To my knowledge Hank Sr. and Lisa's residence on Magnolia was never searched or investigated as being a crime scene...JMHO..

Weren't there other children in the van with Misty and/or Chelsea if they picked Haleigh up at the bus stop that day? Didn't Santos say Tommy and Lindsy's son also got in the van and went with them? Jr. and Tommy and Lindsy's other son could have also been in the van, too. I don't think the other children would keep their mouth shut if Haleigh was injured in an altercation and they witnessed it.

Bolded by me....Your comment is making me think...IF THIS WAS TRUE...IF Misty took Tommy and Lindsy's son/sons.. to their home..and dropped them off.and Misty and Haleigh went back to the house on Magnolia..Ron may have met up with them THERE...and the "incident" happened at that residence to Haleigh..IF Ron WAS angry at the bus stop over Misty...and met up with them AT Magnolia...Surely there was SOME kind of argument/fight/..that happened......As I have commented before, I am leaning towards something happened to Haleigh AT THAT residence...which was never searched by LE...

I think there might be something about a bag.

I know that others who are very well versed with the actual details will help me.

1. It is said by Nay-Nay that WBG put Haleigh in a bag and dumped her.

2. MC(?) says that she saw Haleigh put in a black bag.

3. A witness says they saw MC carrying a bag (garbage bag?) around the time Haleigh went missing? (Need help here-TIA).

Did LE go through the dump(s) extensively? If not, they need to go back for a grid search again IMHO.

JMHO and of course, always thinking of Haleigh so much it breaks my heart.
