Wishful thinking?
No. Not wishful thinking. They would be foolish to file charges now. Their "victim" has been charged and arrested with a third degree felony which means his credibility is shot.

No one has ever proven that Ronald did the rat in the mailbox. Even if he did tell TM he did...it is possible the conversation was taken out of context or simply not true. (Not saying TM was lying, but saying Ronald may have been using it as an example and not actually admitting to anything so misunderstood.)

If you look at pictures of Tommy just before Haleigh was missing he was a little chubby and looked healthy. You look at him now and he's lost a-lot of weight and he looks stoned in every picture. I wonder if he went to Ron's house to steal things knowing that either Misty was not there or asleep and Haleigh woke up. I don't want to go there however the difference in appearance is remarkable to me IMO. Then again he could be a sick pervert and went there for something totally different.

SS - you are a very intelligent woman. It boggles the mind that the convoluted excuses continue to be made for what RC does....it is not logical to assume that multiple LE officers set him up for each and every drug charge, both assault charges, the fleeing the scene charge and the whole rap sheet and the assault on Hank, the witness lied about seeing RC, TM is "mistaken" about the context of Rc's confession and the attorney that heard it was hearing voices that are not there. Eventually the preponderance of evidence will overwhelm even the most convoluted argument.

The difference in appearances can be said about all of them.

Yep...there is either a major source of crack/meth there or everyone is addicted to oxy's/vicodin.

Funny, how the only one whose appearance has improved is Misty's.

I say either the cousin or tommy may have taken RC's gun so rc wouldn't hurt Misty with it....that is, if it was taken at all. This all happened that weekend that M went on her drug and sex binge.

Oh please, now he's the savoir of Putman County? I also think this would have come out with the questioning of cousin Joe...or the questioning of Tommy a week ago. They would love to be the "hero" of Putman County IMO.

That is not true. I think Crystal looked radiant in her last interview. Marie too.

There's always room for more heroes. Ron has to learn to share.

So far, Mom is the only one witnessed in possession of said weapon. that would go quite far in a court of law. No one has admitted to seeing Hank with the weapon yet...unless he confessed? Interesting charge and bail amount...something else appears to be up.
I'd sure like to see a list of those "come to Jesus" questions, with responses!

I don't think there will be a hero in the midst of any of the characters here when we get to the bottom of this mess.

careful I think we are drifting off topic.

IMO, The further you get away from Ron Cummings, the better your health and appearance. Of course, Misty doesn't know any better and lives in her own world.

Hank has lived in the area. He and RC do not look good and both need to start reflecting on their behavior.

I want to know more about this neighbor and the gun story. Can someone say where this person lives and where Lisa and Hank Sr were living when this happened?

It had to be awhile ago if it wasn't on tyler, or was it?

Breaking your comments down one by one...

I don't think he "entered" the vehicle, but rather that he is alleged to have put his hand or hands inside the vehicle.

Ron did not enter private property. The van was on private property and they had been asked to remove themselves and their van from that property.

As for them being in the "process of leaving"...are you saying they were stuck in mud or without keys or something? I never heard the vehicle was moving and understood it was stationery.

http://i.cdn.turner.com/cnn/2009/images/08/18/cummings.arrest.pdf

According to the police statement, Ron "entered the vehicle through the passenger side". It would be a bit difficult to beat someone inside of the vehicle without entering the vehicle in some fashion. Granny Sykes stated that she shoved three of them into the van and told them to leave. So, it looks like they were all inside the van in the process of leaving when Tommy called out something else to Ron, who bounded out of the house and started the beating again. You can interpret the scenario anyway you desire, it doesn't change the stories as told my his grandmother and his wife as well as the Croslins. Ron's story is the only one different. Strange, isn't it?

O/T....I told the folks in my staff meeting yesterday that I could not go to lunch with them because...wait for it........I had to go have a "come to jesus" meeting with my bioMom. LOL She has been rather nasty lately and we had to reign her back in....if she would only stay on her crazy pills life would be smoother! :banghead:

You are so right on that one. Hero material, I do not see. Unless little Jr. remembers what happened that night and tells all to a counselor and the information leads to Haleigh's discovery, there is little chance of an emerging hero.
