Hank Croslin Jr Talks

We don't know if what Tommy is saying is true or if he's lying his butt off about that night. I mean why didn't he come forward with this info back in Feb. instead of waiting till he got thrown in jail? Hinky

He might have told LE, we don't know what he told LE, just like we don't know what RC has said to LE...

I am not saying that Mistys story doesnt have inconsistencies. What I am saying is Tommy's statement to me isnt enough to prove that Misty was not home and that RC knew all along Misty was not home and covering for him. I think Tommy is scrambling because he has to answer to a timeline and account for time he was out of his home. Account for his calls to Timmy account for selling of the red truck right away etc I think there is a bunch more involved to Tommy and it involves Timmy and JO. JMO

We don't know that they didn't come forward.
Just because it hasn't been released to the media does not mean
it hasn't happened.
JMO

Yes we do know that they didn't come forward. There are hundred if not thousands of man hours spent searching the area immediately surrounding the home, in large part based on public pleas's and claims to LE thatthe child disapeared from the home. This is not a piece of information that LE would EVER keep secret from the public. At least not when there is a lost missing or kidnapped child involved. There is no double talk on this. There is no "trick the perp into giving something up". There is no "hold this information secret to protect the investigation" when it concerns something that directly relates to the location of a missing child. If the searches started at the home, and concentrated around the home, then it was based on specific testimony that that was the last point the child was known to be. If in fact the father had ANY knowlege that the children were not in the home as claimed during the course of that evening, then it would have shifted the entire search.

Based on what we are now starting to piece together it is quickly becoming apparent that EVERYONE directly involved has been lying.

Lindsy and Chelsea did interviews the first 6 weeks, I don't recall them mentioning Tommy going there and stating Misty was not home. You would think Tommy's wife would of known if he went there and found Misty was gone. They defended Misty at the start. Just doesnt make sense to me at all.

I havent see any statements from LE saying Misty was not home - just a request for any information about Mistys activities that night

I havent seen results of poly to even know if they asked the question was Misty home that night

I havent seen Tim Miller make a statement, confirmed by an attorney that Misty was not home.

Cobra, I will just leave that one alone lol.

The only thing I have seen is Tommy's statement saying he went there at 10 pm and no one answered the door. IMO Tommy's statement is hinky for several reasons.
I'll leave the rest up to readers' judgment, but for the sake of accuracy, you're right that the well-respected atty didn't confirm the Misty out of the house statements... he confirmed the the rat incident:
Tim Miller, director of Equusearch [...]tells me in an exclusive interview that Ronald admitted he planted the rat –with Misty — as his own test of truth, as bizarre as it may sound.
... Another well respected attorney confirmed he heard Cummings relate the same story.
Tim's claim that Ron told him Misty wasn't at home wasn't verified by an atty. We just have Tim's word.

So did Ron's family and it made no sense to me. I could maybe see the Croslins defending Misty because she was one of their own and maybe they thought it wasn't really her fault and she's had a tough life etcetera. But when it comes to Haleigh's father's family, Haleigh was more of their own than Misty who they had known for a few months only and it was strange how the defenses came up so fast.

Misty's not knowing who slept where, why she got up or what Haleigh was wearing when Haleigh was put to bed says a lot.

If Misty passed out in her bed, her bed should have looked slept in.

Gotcha. And for the record, I'm not saying Tommy's hands are clean, either. :)

I'm just convinced that Misty has been lying about what she did that night. I don't see how all the evidence for that conclusion can be so easily shrugged off while lesser evidence is accepted for theories that paint her as innocent.

The rat incident is another whole can of worms. I don't take comments from AH blog as fact at all. I find it strange that all the other statements Tim Miller has made have been backed up by an audio. Tim Miller has also been on interviews and hasnt stated this. I will have to wait to hear this from Tim Millers mouth myself as seen way too many things stated as fact and then when it comes down to it that isnt what was all said. Perfect example was what was reported by Tim Miller (suposedly) with regards to TNs phone messages and once the messages were put out there they were not at all what had originally been reported. Was reported that RC told Tim Miller about the 35,000 - yet when audio came out nope that isnt what happened so I am a bit leary when people say Tim Miller reported something, until I hear an audio. As TES says if you do not hear it from Tim Miller directly and only read it on the net don't believe it.

I for one believe Tim. Why would Tim lie? I think Tim's word is enough.

Also, I wonder if Tommy lied and told Ron that Misty was at the trailer with the kids sleeping to keep Ron from blowing up at Misty and then Tommy went and found Misty and the kids.

At the time it seems Tommy and Misty were getting along. And if Tommy knew Misty had done something wrong (Haleigh accidentally dying or Misty losing her etc..) I think as a brother he might try to cover for her and protect her especially since he had already lied to Ron on the phone. And I think he did lie to Ron and said Misty was home, (or Ron probably would have left work in a fit of rage and went looking for his children).

We know from the Caylee case that families will do whatever to protect eachother even if said family member was in the wrong.

I am just wondering if Timmy and Tommy loved their baby sister enough to try and protect her from jail, and are now realizing she wasn't worth it.

I don't know if Misty is innocent or not - to be honest I go back and forth on that. I do think there are some holes in her story that need to be answered. I just don't think Tommy is this great person who is in jail to be protected from RC (as some are stating not directed at you specifically), I think Tommy is in jail with a 50,000 bond because he is a thief, drug user, and he is involved in Haleighs disappearance. I don't personally believe Art would publish such a bald lie, nor do I see how saying Ron told him the bed hadn't been slept in, there was dirty laundry in the dryer, and he married Misty to keep his enemy closer could be so badly misconstrued by accident.

Didn't Tim confirm this, when he said he had no reason to lie? Or was that about another statement he made that upset the Cummings?

Not if she passed out ontop of the covers!

I agee.. I think he's gonna keep trying to pin it on his sister though.

I have so many questions and with every bit of information that comes out I am more confused.

Not if she passed out ontop of the covers!

She said Jr slept in the same bed with her, did he pass out on top of the covers too? And anyway, even sleeping on top of the covers tends to make the bed look somewhat less made.

You know I can completely agree with that! But, why wouldn't LE come out and clear him as a suspect then? Same with Crystal? In my opinion that is why this case hasn't been solved yet. Lots and lots of room for public opinion. When all this speculation is going on and rumors start building no one trusts each other anymore. Even us here, as a crime forum have become so divided because Law Enforcement couldn't clear anyone......especially the parents....They haven't even said that Crystal is cleared. WHY? I mean I understand that if they have questions about a person they can't clear them......but, what I wish I could ask LE right now is......What have you done to clear the parents from your suspect list so attention can be focused on the rest of the people involved?

Officers also have interviewed Ronald Cummings numerous times. Both he and Haleigh's mother, Crystal Sheffield, have been cleared of suspicion in the disappearance, authorities say.

I just don't know what to believe and what not to believe - we get LE giving us a piece of info one day and the next day they take back that info, we have media reporting a piece of information six different ways, we have people we can trust such as Tim Miller, but media has reported his info incorrectly attributing the quotes directly to him. TJ is reporting both families were informed by LE about Misty not being home, both families deny being told this piece of info, we had reporting originally that LE told the Sheffields about the search but not the Cummings, then we have them reporting that LE didnt tell either family. Search not about Haleigh, search about Haleigh, found evidence, didnt find evidence. It is like you think you get a piece of info and it is fact, but that fact is gonna change six times before the real fact comes out. So dang frustrating - end of rant lol.
