Strange they would refer to County property as "abandoned" though.
I think they meant 'unoccupied.'

I can't see any house on previous photos posted by Otto. Could you please post the link showing that house? Thanks so much!
I think abandoned might be a euphemism for "currently uninhabited". jmo
I will never understand how anyone could take the job of defending a murderer. You could not pay me enough money to help try to get a murderer set free.
What is the reason for this "calling"? I'm guessing most would say they do it for the chance to defend the innocent, or that everyone deserves representation until proven guilty...
But what do these types do once the evidence shows their client is guilty? They try to get them a lessened sentence in any way possible.
I'm usually pretty accepting as a person, but honestly, I find it to be a disgusting way to make a living.
I'm glad I'm not the only one spending so much time on here right now. This case has definitely challenged my cell phone battery life when I'm out of the house! They would need a staff of fifty to absorb the info that comes out of this site on a national level. One big case can disrupt my life.
1. When the remains were found, they were not buried. For all we know, the recent rains could have uncovered a partially-buried body.
2. The neighbors are not close (if it's the property Coy Barefoot has identified). The area is very rural.
3. My understanding is that JLM's mother and JLM lived nearby when he was young, but neither currently lives in the North Garden area.
I can't help you with the rest of your questions, because I don't know. Sorry!
The pics didn't post when I quoted Otto. Look for his post #479. They're there and you see at least 4 LE standing at that driveway/ entrance near the operations vehicles near entrance to Walnut Creek Park.
perfect person to spread misinfo if they were going that route.Somewhere I read that Coy Barefoot was a personal friend of Chief Timothy Longo. I haven't found the link but am sure I read that. Anyone else?
"James Camblos III, the lawyer representing Matthew said he would await further information. 'The police have located human remains and we will wait to see what the medical examiner says to see who it is,' Camblos said."

Does the fact that Camblos has not said his client is innocent of the charges on him so far (abduction with intent to defile) perhaps mean that JM may intend to plea bargain depending on what the autopsy reveals? For example, if no cause of death can be determined, perhaps he'll say it was an accident to get a lesser charge such as manslaughter. I just think it's interesting that he hasn't professed his innocence so far if that's his intention, but I am not a lawyer, so what do I know?![]()
Daily mail says identity confirmed as Hannah:

While I sadly don't doubt it's true, I will wait for a more credible source to confirm. Also, I have lots to catch up on but how far is where the body was found from JM's old home?
He is a monster. My thoughts and prayers are with Hannah's loved ones tonight. I can't imagine how hard this is for them, their grief, their pain, and the agony of a potential trial (depending on if there's a direct link to JM). So so sad and awful.
