One of his old friends or coworkers said he was a bully of a driver. Now we have the neighbor on Old Lynchburg Rd saying he would come up on you driving like he was pushing you.

I wonder how this and his wrestling grown men into submission fits into the Psych profile.

Moo

The driving thing seems like a huge sense of entitlement so I would say that plus all of the other characteristics adds up to narcissistic sociopath. Just my inexpert opinion.

Ok-i've tried to read everything and look at all the pix but...i'm mixed up right now-is the brown wood home that was going to be the adult home now recognized as the site where the remains are found?

Is that part of a power line? It's part of the imagery associated with Albemarle County Gis map: http://gisweb.albemarle.org/Map/Viewer.aspx

The map without the structure is from 2009, the map with the structure is from 2013.

ok. dang it. not gonna get any sleep tonight..... I see a person. facing to the left of my pic...holding something out in front of themselves. that makes up the top and right part of the "structure" the bottom is the shadow. that is what I see in 2013. omg... I'm afraid to type what I think I see in 2009.

Speaking as a guy who bought a home that had a dead body stashed under the crawl space...

- In NC you have to disclose.

- In my case, SBI dogs picked up on scent almost 3 years (?) after victim was murdered.

No, this was NOT my sister's case, this was years later when I moved to the States. Yes, this stuff seems to follow me. You gotta keep a sense of humor. :)

So was the dead body there after you moved in or before you moved in? Sorry if already been answered.

See I would think so too, but then last few years, we have had a lot of turkey vultures hanging round town. That is different from what we used to see 10 years ago. I can imagine, in more rural areas, that to see vultures of some variety, circling, would not be terribly unusual. I am not near VA. but where I live, carrion birds hang out much more so in more rural areas than city, and I can tell you - I do not think twice anymore about turkey vultures, in my childhood unseen unheard of, in the city, circling and landing in the road over dead vermin.

In general, I wouldn't think it's a big deal either, but when there's an active search happening for a missing person who has a high possibility of being deceased it seems like it should take top priority. Especially since it appears the birds can do much damage in a short time so the window of opportunity to search the area where the birds are is small.

By almost all reports, yes, behind it anyway.

In my experience, I have never observed such an impulsive hot-head as this guy: Planned chaos.

A bit OT, but I really, really wish there was a forum with a summarized version of the day's events. Like a lot of us, I've been on WS much more than normal and have realized I need to focus a bit more on living my life instead of trying the sleuth as much as I have been. Is there a daily summary feed anywhere? TIA.

NO but a day in review thread is interesting idea. Thanks. This is what I love about this site. What would that look like? Parameters?

Good point. Shrug. Just speculating. Like everyone.

Same here. I'm in richmond and they're everywhere, I ignore them.

Do we know that they didn't follow up on a tip or was one not called in until later?

There's a link in this or one of the previous 2 threads with a report that someone saw buzzards or vultures and called it in on Oct 6th.

I see the same. Looks to be a white male with dark hair or dark cap wearing dark clothing with arms out straight in front as if holding a pistol ready to fire. His shadow is below. IMO

I think I see what part you might be talking about (3-sided, squarish, dark, sort of like a staple?) , but look at the scale -- 42 feet -- that "person" would have to be about 24 feet tall and lying down!

When I only have a few minutes, I check the "Media Links" thread in the sticky section at the top of the forum. It has news articles that can catch you up on any daily events quickly.

There basically is a thread that is just that. It does not allow for discussion, but it does have all the latest developments that have been reported by the media. It is in the sticky threads section and is called 'Media Links'.

Same here. So frustrating to see issues be thoroughly discussed, then have others jump in and ask about them all over again just because they haven't bothered to read through previous posts.

At the bottom in the thread tags ,I tagged the post number of some of the media links.

Otto, the cottage on that map shows the address to be 3193 and the main house address appears to be 3181. I checked out 3181 Old Lynchburg Rd on the county assessments and it shows it with an alternate address of 3183. Does that mean the main house and the cottage each have a different address? If so, then the remains WERE found behind the small cottage. IMO

I think the remains may have been found on the next property over, especially if they were close to the road in the dry creek bed. The creek bed doesn't actually go through the property.
