I've spent today at a football (soccer) tournament to honour a friend who died. He was the only person I've known who shared my interest in missing people and crime. It's really cheesy but I feel like he has brought her home. Thanks Jon and (if confirmed) RIP Hannah.

So glad that she is found. I really did not think that she would be. He could have done himself a favor by saying where she was but his goose is cooked, now. I bet his family is devastated. What a horrid reality about your loved one. Glad for Hannahs parents, I'm sure that they knew that she was gone, but at least they have the confirmation. Glad for Charlottesville, too. Hopefully no more serial killers in their midst. (I lived through the Michigan serial killer at large. Even went to college with the creep. Luckily I did not know him, but I knew one of his victims.) I don't know. I was thinking he might have thought she would be harder to find just because it was enclosed. Maybe he really thought they would never find her.

The skin loosens and any pressure causes the top layer to come off in large sheets (skin slip). As the internal organs and the fatty tissues decay, they produce large quantities of foul-smelling gas. I wrote some time ago that I believe JLM learned from the discovery of Morgan's body, and if found on a property it would be one where no one lived or worked. I can't say from what Longo described if he meant out in the open or within a structure, but I'd be willing to bet there are structures on the property that haven't been occupied for some time. Because I think JLM learned not to dump his victims in areas where they are likely to be located, to me that would include out in the open. So IMO she was found in an abandoned structure of some type and (again JMO) somehow hidden within that structure.

And you could be right. We will soon find out.

I'm very curious about what break occurred during the investigation that caused them to hone in on this area recently. I'm guessing something to do with the cell phone pings discussed about a week ago?

Either way, as much as I always knew this would probably be the outcome, it's hit me hard to learn they finally found her. I feel so badly for her family.

I agree! I took it to mean a house or structure.

I'm starting to think it was a house they found her in, but I still think "property" can mean land. I've always heard people use that word to describe land, as in "I have a piece of property I want to build on..."
I hope its a structure for evidences sake. Plus I prefer the idea of HG being inside with bad weather and cold. I know she's deceased, but every night going to bed I would think about her, as I got cozy in my bed, wishing she was also cozy and warm...

We don't know the exact location. We only know that she was found by a Chesterfield Sheriff's Dept. team of searchers on an abandoned property along Old Lynchburg Road. Based on the road closures reported earlier, we can guess that the abandoned property is between Red Hill Road and Plank Road. The search in that area at Walnut Creek Park has been called off.

Sounds like cell phone pings got them into the right general vicinity.

I agree. How is it really abandoned if there is no structure, but thats just what I thought of when he said it. When I think of abandoning something I think of house, car, people, not land.

Land, when it is owned by someone, can be abandoned if it once had a specific purpose like farming. To me that is an indirect way of revealing it was likely a farm at one time or had a distinct purpose. If it is no longer planted, harvested, but now over run with weeds etc, it can be considered abandoned, to me at least.

Recall LE found LJM's taxi. Wonder if it was near where remains found?

i am CERTAIN that this is where the cop car is parked - the intersection of Old Lynchburg and Plank (you can see the lynchburg and plank street signs and the blue street sign in the image with cop car as well as the distinct fence with rocks at the base). This location is 13 miles from C'ville so maybe 3 miles up from here, since they said 10 miles from c'ville?

if we are getting mixed messages from media - shallow grave and abandoned structure - it's possible it was a shed with no floor, thus a shallow grave in a shed??

I have never believed Morgan ran to where she was found. He took her there and with him being as strong as he is that would be no feat for him. If he had already murdered her he could throw her over his shoulders with no problem. Remember this is the wrestler that even grown men cant beat even though he is in his 30s now. And the adrenaline would be pumping as well.

Or he could have forced her to go in that area. We don't know if he may have even used zip ties to restrain his victims. That way there was no chance of his victims escaping. He could certainly run faster than them even if they did try.

All plausible. What we can all agree on is this man, this big, soft spoken man, is a predator that has flown beneath the radar for many years, so it seems. MOO

. . . and to think that this perverted murderer was disguised in a "helper" profession ~ transporting our ill and loved ones during their most vulnerable moments. There are no words mean enough to describe him.

All in the quest to deceive and he did for a very long time.

As I have said often in this case rapists and murderers like JM hide in plain sight always hiding behind the mask.

Thank goodness that mask has been ripped off now to really show the ugly evilness that was always inside of him.

I just hope that if he has more victims out there that those victims will receive their own justice one day.

He didn't just start being a murderer in 2009 and then stood idle for five years. Nope I just don't believe that. His compulsions are too strong. His evil too much a part of who he is.

He is a predator, a hunter, and he has been for a very long time, IMO.

It sure isn't different for me and I live in America.

Abandoned property to me means a house/barn/old mobile home/shed where no one lives or goes to anymore.

I don't know who abandons land but it is commonplace out in rural areas for site built properties or sheds-old trailers to be abandoned and no longer in use.

So imo, it is not land........it is an abandoned structure of some type on someone's land.

Does anyone know who owns the land on which Hannah was found? Is it privately or publically owned? Was it abandoned in that the land owner just hasn't paid taxes on it or just left the area? My family owns property, quite a bit of it, and some of it has structures on the parcels, and some do not. We use the term property regardless.
