Ok, I was way off!Can you give any idea of scale for the Sandylion stickers.
The picture comparison looked like a very good match, but would like to be reasureed about size.
Package Dimensions: W: 2.1'' x H: 7.97'' x D: 0.13''

Just firing up for the day. Thought I'd be picky with the bit bolded (just a small part of the post). Should read "similar sized"

Also, same package on Sandylion website. Wonder if LE bought some?I found the Sandylion stickers online: "Discount Art Supplies"
I know, right. There's a Walgreen's less than a mile from me with these heart stickers in stock. (yes, I checked!) I was almost in the car before I said "Stop it, Marina! and went back in the house.:crazy:Field trip to Walgreens!!![]()
Why do they word it that way H.P.? Is it because they need to write up a report even though all the tests are not complete?
In other words, they can't say "the exact heart that had been on the tape", (even though they strongly suspect it is), before they analyze it?
Lol, I had the same idea!I know, right. There's a Walgreen's less than a mile from me with these heart stickers in stock. (yes, I checked!) I was almost in the car before I said "Stop it, Marina! and went back in the house.
So the larger heart we were looking at should be about the right size to match the one found at the scene.

Very rough calculation on what we have got suggests largest sticker is about the right size. I calculate a little over 3/4"Ok, I was way off!

Only because we really, really want it to.
We can conjecture that the sticker, not sticky enough to stay on the duct tape (but sticky enough to leave a residue that remained on the "worn surface" of the tape for six months) fell off, then traveled twice as far as the remains were from the curb through underbrush that would discourage a small rodent, re-attached itself securely to a piece of wet, dirty cardboard, and waited patiently to be discovered.
Or we can conjecture that finding a heart sticker of a common size and shape, in an obvious trash dump site in the middle of a huge residential development, a few hundred ft. from an elementary school isn't really all that much of an anomaly.
The discovery of both a "heart shaped residue" and a "similar" heart shaped sticker is enough to drive any sleuthing addict into a true "foam at the mouth" frenzy, but sometimes coincidences do happen. I don't think that this one is all that improbable.
It looks like it would be. The smaller ones could match those on her cell phone and look like the same type.
No, I think they are genuinely trying to be precise. Funny old thing the english language. Why do they word it that way H.P.? Is it because they need to write up a report even though all the tests are not complete?

But there's heart shaped residue on the duct tape which had been around Caylee's mouth. What caused that? Even if no sticker was found?
Cell phone stickers are very small. We run into a problem of scale. Can you find any pictures of those smaller stickers on KC's cell phone? I found one pic on this thread with Annie's cell phone stickers, but there were both hearts and (I think) stars on hers. I haven't found any pics of KC's cell phone stickers.
Or they are pretty sure it was NOT the same heart that had been on the tape, because it is made of a rigid material and is stuck fast to a piece of cardboard.

As a cautionary note I refer you to Douglas Adams description of the war between opposing galactic races - the G'Gugvuntts and Vl'hurgs. Due to a terrible miscalculation of scale the entire battle fleet was swallowed by a small dog.
