I disagree with JWG

These do not look like the puffy 3d heart found on the cardboard. Does anyone know why its on cardboard? I thought it was found on the duct tape.

EDIT: I think all they have on the duct tape is the residue of the sticky stuff, not an actual heart. So they measured everything to find the heart that is the right shape to fit in the sticky stuff on the duct tape.

That being said, where was this cardboard found??

In the OCSO supplemental report it states:

The tape was affixed to the skull in such a manner that the mandible was still adjacent to the skull. (my emphasis)

What on earth does that mean and what are the implications? The term 'adjacent' means 'next to'!

Not only that but if we will remember when the body was taken in and the duct tape removed that is when they saw the sticky part on the tape and it was heart shaped. They then went back to the crime scene and found the heart. So it would not be on the duct tape that was removed.

I'm thinkin we have not seen the duct tape or heart from Caylee's skull yet.

There is no heart-shaped sticker entered into evidence from the crime scene other than the one stuck to cardboard that I can find.

Sheesh...we need an evidence spreadsheet like we had with the cell pings .

I think the tape held the lower jaw bone and the skull together. Adjacent can mean east/west or north/south, I believe.

Hmmm....I'm thinking 2 heart stickers. A prism-y flat one stuck to the duct tape and never found, and the puffy one stuck to cardboard. I believe they found the outline of the "missing" heart sticker (the one cut out with squiggly edges) in a container of Casey's stuff (including an envelope (letter? card?) from the great-gps to Caylee that must have been sent right after she was born, based on the 37 cent stamp)--and why would you keep the outline of a sticker you used unless it was used on something really special? But I don't think the sticker that fits in that outline is the same as the puffy one on the cardboard.

But here's a question for you guys: I read the report as saying that the non-sticky side of the duct tape (i.e., the shiny side) had worn off. If so, where did they find the heart sticker residue??

On Page 3415 of the crime scene report, Investigator Jennifer Welch states:

'The exterior non-sticky side of the duct tape at the front of the skull appeared to have worn away'.

If that's correct, how is it that the residue from a heart sticker was still there?

ETA - just noticed that this has been raised in the post just before mine. :)

I'm thinking 2 stickers as well. Not sure if the one that left the residue on the skull duct tape is or is not found. The previous documents (1/21) state that "a sticker of similar size to the residue" was found at the remains site? Is that what we see the picture of now or not? The one in the picture looks to be firmly attached to whatever, so does not look like it has fallen away from its original adhesive?
It was assumed, but never stated that the sticker on the duct tape was over the mouth area. If that area was worn away, then perhaps it was elsewhere?

p. 3168

says that the residue was noted on the duct tape that had been sent to the FBI, right after it says that the duct tape sent to the FBI was the piece of tape over the mouth.

It says the tape was over the mouth area, but not that the sicker was. It could, for instance have been on the part of the tape that covered the cheek.
But no definative info given so could still have been anywhere. Perhaps there was a large enough unabraded patch in the mouth area?

Does anyone else think these look like the puffy sticker that was found at the crime scene? It's hard to tell from this image, but these stickers are puffy ones.

Can you show me where it says this? Link please? I disagree it could have been "anywhere".

I think we keep forgetting we are not seeing a lot of what they found at the A fam home or the crime scene.

They are very, very, very close to the one on the cardboard matte (closest match I've seen so far!). But, the one on the cardboard in the doc drop had only 3 distinct colorations in it. I can't find one EXACTLY like it on the image you found. But very, very close, IMO.

I saw a post on the NG thread that channel 9 says that there are 1000 more pages to be dumped yet.

Pulling this over from the "defense responds" thread, because I think it may be important, or at least, very interesting......:waitasec:

Is it just me, or is there a big OOPS here from JB? Who said the heart-shaped sticker on the duct tape was red? I have never seen the "color" of the sticker mentioned by LE or anyone else. In fact, only the residue of a heart-shaped sticker was found on the duct tape on Caylee's mouth. And to my knowledge, only a photo of the pinkish-red puffy heart sticker that was found on the cardboard matting found near the remains was included in the document drop -- no photo of the heart that left the sticky residue on the duct tape has seen the light of day.

So, who, except the killer (or the killer's attorney), could have known it was red???????

Or, quite possibly, the "red" sticker is referenced in the 2nd 1,000 pages yet to reach the media. JB has gotten both sets of docs.

The previous doc dump, describes "silver duct tape over the mouth area". Then later: "noticed residue in perfect shape of a heart". No mention of WHERE along the length of the duct tape the sticker was.

See p3168

Does go on to say "investigators located (at remains site) a small heart shaped sticker similar in size to the residue found on the duct tape"

The assumption was that they found the very sticker that had fallen off the duct tape, and maybe they did, but you can also interpret that as describing the DIFFERENT sticker that we all saw in the photo of today. I do not believe the sticker in today's photo fell off one place, and firmly attached itself to the "cardboard" or whatever that is in the photo.
If the sticker in today's photo was just sitting on cardboard, having fallen off the duct tape, I am sure LE would have collected and inspected it to match with the duct tape residue?

We are getting spun all around here. State says no prints of Cindy, Lee or George and doesn't mention Casey. They leave it open to wonder if they DID find Casey prints.

Baez spins it to infer (and hope nobody reads well) that kc's prints are not there, then he states that the heart sticker wasn't on the tape...we know that...it fell off.

We all need a master degree in English to parse their sentences and determine the meaning....sheesh:confused:
