Heart Shaped Sticker And Duct Tape #3

I went for a rummage around my house and found 3 different types of stickers and an adhesive sheet of reflective design similar to the sticker sheet found in KC's bedroom.
Every single one of them is foil, not paper on the adhesive side, which suprised me.
Here are some pics. I have put the finest (lower right pic , 3rd sticker) in a bowl of water sitting in the sun (currently 107 F) to see how long it takes to break down, if at all. I think this one will, but it might take a while.
If you find one EXACTLY matching one the LE have found but have not shown us, and the sheet has at least one sticker missing, I bet your prints are on the backing sheet.

That makes YOU guilty!

Ah, saying that LE rushed to search the house because of the heart shape on the duct tape is WRONG. If I read the documents correctly (and I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong) the heart shaped residue was only found once the FBI examined the duct tape at their lab. there is no way the tape could have gone from the site, to the ME's office, to the FBI and to their lab quickly enough to send LE tearing on back to the Anthony house that same night. There were OTHER things found, the winnie the pooh blanket for example, or even the duct tape itself that made it imperative to seach the house again as quickly as possible.
Um...

The first place we heard about the sticker residue was in the Dec. 20 search warrant request. That's when they went sticker happy at the A's.

Correct, and the first search warrant was applied for and executed on December 11th, the day Caylee's remains were found, ergo they did not rush to the house that first night because of the sticker. Now, if I misunderstood HP's post and he was talking about the search on December 20th, I bow my head humbly and stand corrected.

Arise!

I take no pleasure in your prostrating yourself before me.

I was definately talking about the 20th warrant. The application for that was the first mention of Heart sticker. I imagine the photos of sticker frenzy was at that time.

How about if it's just "similar"?

Can we still string 'em up?

I also notice that if I am reading Detective Melich's report correctly, he was advised on December 17th of the residue by FBI Analyst. He did not request or execute a search warrnet until AFTER Dr. Garavaglia announced her findings in the case on December 19th. the search warrant was executed on December 20th. this is also from Det. Melich's report, pages 8 and 9 of the PDF file and pages 3381 and 3381, hand written on bottom of right side of pages.

So, OCSO did not, in fact, rush off to search the house at any time ONLY because of the residue found on the duct tape. Just trying to keep things factual here.

It's definitely the first time any stickers were mentioned in the search warrant return property reports.

Certainly not.
I would never condem Butwhatif? on such flimsy evidence. I am sure she is innocent of all charges.

But if the sticker is exactly the same and the prints are right there on Butwhatif?'s sticker sheet, then she gotta swing!

That's the rules! Ya gotta go by the rules, same as you gotta have Bypasses!

I'm not quite sure what point you're trying to make, so don't feel that I'm disagreeing with you or anything, but I should like to point out that the very first items specified in that Dec. 20 warrant request were "...arts and crafts material, stickers, scrap booking material...".

Ok, I am reposting part of my last post because I screwed up the hand written page numbers - they should say 3381 and 3382. I also want to quote Det. Melich from page 3382:

"On Decmeber 20th I obtained another search warrant for the Anthony residence on HopeSpring Drive...............the search warrant was based on additional evidence recovered since December 11th."

So while heart shaped stickers were an item of interest, they were only one of many items they were looking for.

Okay.

?

Did someone say differently?

I guess I should go back and re-read the posts.

Sorry, let me try to clarify. I am disagreeing, but VERY politely of course :), with the notion that OCSO rushed off to the Anthony house SOLELY because of the sticker residue. Det. Melich knew about the residue on the 17th, but did not ask for or execute a search warrant until 3 days later. that is all I am trying to get at, honestly.

I also belatedly realize that what I might have taken as a serious statement may have ONLY been one of HP's whimsical remarks. If that is so, than just sort of glance at me sideways, shake your head, tsk, tsk, a little bit and move on:)

ETA: See post #566 in this thread, which is what I initially replied to.

ETA: Please see Detective Melich's supplemental report that was released on 2/18. Page 5 of the pdf file, page 3378 handwritten on bottom right hand corner for verification of why LE applied for and executed search warrant.
Page 3378 is in reference to the first SW on the 11th.
Caylee's remains were found by RK on the 11th Dec, along with the tape with the sticky residue in the shape of a heart.(not that they were aware of the residue at the time) The 1st SW was done that night.

The cardboard matting with pink raised heart was found during sifting on the 18th (p3751)

They carried out the second SW on the 20th Dec, which is when the stickers were seized.( see refs below)

Ha!!! Blindsided once again by the Evil Belgian.

I'm still convinced that he's the one who stashed the knife with the remains.

Given they had seen all the stuff in and around the skull and the remains. What do you think was the magor inspiration for a second warrant just 9 days after they had collected all that they considered relevant?

I do not want to down play the detailed work of finding more bone fragments and extra pieces of plastic and duct tape, but none of it was new after day one. The only significant "new" find was the sticker residue.(Then the sticker of similar size)

All kidding aside, Macushla (I love that name) has got the timeline exactly right.

Correct! and they still waited another two days before asking for and executing a search warrant.

Honest and truly, I am beginning to think I read the post from HP wrong, in that he was joking and I thought he was serious about 'rushing off to the house in search of stickers' (paraphrased). All I can say, in my own defense, is that sometimes it's hard to tell when someone is kidding just by reading - sometimes ya just gots to hear em and see their facial expressions!

Honestly, I think it was the determination of Cause of Death as Homicide that triggered the next search warrant. they knew about the residue on the 17th, they found the heart sticker on the 18th. Once they heard, on the 19th that Dr. Garavaglia had ruled it a homicide, I think they went back, looked over everything else they found since that poor little baby was found, figured out everything they could possibly want to find at that house and then asked for the search warrant. Yes, any arts and crafts stuff was important, but look at what else they took, looked at, etc.

I tend to agree, although I also find it interesting that they also suddenly got the hots for all of KC's shoes.

That would have made sense on the first warrant, unless they originally felt that the perp floated over to the site, and then changed their minds for some reason.

Can I assume that you have some Irish in your background? Most people don't even know how to pronounce it, unless they are Irish :) My Grandma used Macushla when she talked to us kids, most probably because she had so many grandkids she couldn't remember all our names :)
