Believe it or not -- paternity does not dictate child support.

CG wouldn't have had to pay child support though, if a paternity test established he wasn't the biological father, right?

It. appears MF needed a place to stay at the time she announced her pregnancy, according to the video posted earlier. Rachel (iirc) said Heidi invited her to stay over a few days.

I’m guessing here but I think after divorce MF’s life spiraled south rapidly.
Moo

Oh, that’s an interesting piece of data. Thank you! I couldn’t tell when I saw that if Rachel was saying Heidi invited *her* to stay, or if Rachel was referring to MF but it makes sense if MF was re-inserting herself into Heidi’s life for some reason. Or maybe Heidi was one of the only good friends she had and she was just latched on? They are all sad of course, but this case is just so... so much betrayal.

He could ask for a paternity test if she pursued child support. At least that is how it goes for unmarried fathers in Ohio. If he acted as the child's father for years then he may be obligated to provide support even if he is not the biological father. Of course I don't know TX law on this.

IMO killer and Heidi were likely in a one sided friendship. If Heidi was here today to tell us, I'm betting she dismissed red flags as they had been friends since pre teen. I don't know if it's been established that they remained close for all these years. A sociopath will discard you like an old pr. of socks once they don't need you anymore. Killing Heidi to get what she wanted likely wasn't difficult for her to carry out. Her past behaviour of theft, driving without License, Insurance, sponging off her "Landlord" etc. is just a glimpse of her. She obviously had no regard to the Law or people prior to the murder. I wonder what else she has done we don't know about. IMO
Its hard to get into their friendship relationship dynamics unless you are H and MF, JMO.

Yes, I think she only wanted the baby for what the baby could do for her. By looking at MF I wonder how long she could have lasted dealing with a crying newborn? Especially alone, in hiding, etc.
What did she plan to do if Margo became ill?

*wanted to mention the breastfeeding phone call. After seeing pic of formula on MF’s stoop, I believe the call took place. MF prob needed to know what kind of formula to use and was questioning Heidi. Jmo

Perhaps MF's plan was that later, 'baby caring tasks' would be left to CG, as now MF had a secure home.
MF could state she wasn't able to look after Margo, and required a great deal of help.
MOO.

Not much time to stay online but I wanted to throw this out here. I have dealt with this professionally before. One of my career stories that I will not EVER forget was being called STAT to Labor and Delivery to find heart tones on a mom in labor. I run up, get ultrasound machine on and get ready to scan. The woman was in birthing position, drenched in sweat, and having contractions registering on the monitor and her belly appeared 9 months pregnant. When I put my probe down, I got the shock of my life. I saw a tiny uterus, no baby whatsoever. What I was seeing the mom do vs what my machine was seeing, had me feel temporarily insane. I looked all over for the baby! I then thought to myself “My career is over cause this clearly pregnant mom is in labor and I cannot find a huge baby!” I called my Radiologist and briefed him so he ran upstairs, stood by me while I scanned (IN SHOCK) and he leaned next to my ear and whispered “Pseudocyesis” and said we will talk when back downstairs. They ended up “delivering” the moms “baby” and told her it died. Apparently that is one way to possibly treat that mental illness” Had I not been involved in that, I may never believe it. I have since read every article I can get my hands on and that was 23-24 years ago. When I see these cases, I wonder if the mom had it. Now there are typically 3 similar conditions? Anyway, it’s worth reading up on IMO. This is a terrible ending for poor HB family :(

I thought that I noticed (and maybe I looked past it) that all she had on her baby registry was a base for a car seat. Was Margo’s carrier left behind?
Was the baby registry posted or a link? I'd like to see that.

This one is really getting to me. Obviously because I have a best friend I met 24 years ago, when I was 11 at church camp. I am so protective of her and her children. That aspect of this is mind blowing to me.

However, what is really getting to me.... is that if MF had picked a complete stranger with a similar situation she may have gotten away with it. We have other cases where Mom was murdered and baby is missing and husband/dad is charged.

If she had picked a stranger out of state, a woman in an abusive relationship that she knew was documented. Abduct her and her baby, kill her and dump her body somewhere to frame the spouse.

Then go home afterward like normal with the new baby. I think she may have gotten away with this. It was the connection to Heidi that got her caught.

It’s frightening to think that if someone tweaked her plan a little they may actually succeed.

What name did she go by on the baby registry? I think she was also on Amazon? TIA

Yes, you just need a MSM post.

Thank you for your reply, I don't have that. I wanted to post that there was another one on Friday (updated) and one tonight. The link was in KHOU and NY Post news articles, but only for the Thursday story. It was already posted here. I just wanted to make sure. Thanks

So she murdered her best friend? Why not just kidnap a total stranger’s baby then? I personally believe this was related to something extremely personal. She strangled her best friend. There would have to be a lot of built up anger and hate to do that. A deep seeded revenge coupled with jealousy and obsession Would be my guess. IMO Most women who murder other women do so because there always seems to be a man involved. Some kind of love triangle. Interesting to me that MF brought up the fact she was around when HB got with SC 10 years ago. This would also be around the time MF’s marriage ended in divorce. I can’t help but wonder if there was an obsession for SC or some reason that led MF to believe HB’s family should have been hers or would have been hers if only....I think she was out to destroy them both as revenge for something she believes one or both did to her. Hence my “Hand that Rocks the Cradle” vibe. AJMOO

Frankly I wonder, MOO, if her obsession was with HEIDI, not SC, and not wanting Heidi to have a close relationships with anyone else...note that the SM posts by Heidi mentioning her as bestie didn't go past 2013 - could be MF in MOO could have flipped out thru jealousy and just plain evil envy and possessiveness, brooding on it for years!
