I have the impression that he fell into some foul play, perhaps his speech impediment caused him to have problems with someone ... rest in peace

He is mentioned numerous times through the mid-late 1980s in the Tyler Telegraph; mostly with regards to selling real estate, his involvement with the Tyler Jaycees, and relationship to family events (such as weddings and obituary announcements.)

This picture is from the Jan 19, 1986, edition (pg 16), re Jaycees.

Given the number of articles through the time period already mentioned (last in 1988, mentioning him with regards to United Way campaign), I find it interesting that I can find nothing regarding his disappearance or anything until 2024, and shown below - not sure of the vast difference in dates (issued in 1999; legal notice in 2024 (?) - I'm not familiar with probate type issues.

After that, he is listed as surviving his mother in her obituary published on Feb 16, 2025 in the Tyler Morning Telegraph.

Additionally, I am Not finding him on the Tyler Police website as indicated in his Namus profile.

I'll keep poking around in old newspapers and see if I find anything else.
