At the very least, Tony's mileage would have been recorded as standard procedure when he had the car in for repair, I would think. I wonder how much mileage she put on it?

Is it standard procedure?

My car shop doesn't track detailed mileage when I take it in for service ... they ask me what my mileage is (and estimate is fine). And I've looked at my paperwork ... none of the mileage seems to be exact.

Whenever I have taken my car in they write down my exact mileage. I had not thought of that before. Good Catch!

The name that caught my attention was the guy from the auto repair shop. I know Casey lied a lot about her dad getting her car fixed, car in the shop, need a new car, etc, but what car was in the shop and for what? Maybe I am having a *dull moment* or maybe something had to be fixed on a car at some point... help me out here
Wasn't Tone's auto in the shop, I'm thinking around the 9th? Did KC give him a ride there, and Caylee was with them? Don't know why that would be important?

I think the mere fact that they put out this witness list is good indication of where LE is on this case. Come on - 80+ witnesses for fraud charges --??? I don't think so. Maybe 5, but not 80+. They will be picking her up very soon........

AL's roommate and former business partner - he actually goes by his middle name

And another thing lol... here is a concern, (and only reason I'm puzzled by a list of witnesses involving more than KC's economic charges). It's been explained (on NG?) that if neglect (eg) is involved in a death, should a person happen to be first found innocent on the neglect, there would be a problem with going back later and charging them with a more serious charges stemming from the neglect. While not likely (IMO) to get off on neglect, if this is true, is it worth the risk for LE to proceed with neglect at this time if they're preparing a more serious, related, charge? I would think they would not proceed w neglect (only economic crimes) until such time as they're prepared to pursue any further, more serious neglect-related charges (ie manslaughter, negligent homicide or homicide). In which case I can't see why the heck they'd need half these witnesses yet, just saying. Maybe they this many people just to disprove all her lies and proceed w "false statements" charges...

It may be that they're ready.

Ok, I'm gonna ask. Do we now think this could be the preliminary list for the grand jury? And if it is preliminary, do you think we'll see an updated one with the addition of names? Just wondering.

That is NOT the list of the Grand Jury - There are only 15 persons on that list. They must have a strong case, because the majority of them will be LE and expert witnesses.

To those who question why the people around her in line or any other people in the store are not on these witness lists:

It is not necessary. Casey is shown on video sauntering into the stores (I can clearly see it is her) writing and presenting checks to these cashiers (Amy has shown these were stolen by Casey and how Casey came into possession) and taking the merchandise. You can even clearly see the merchandise. Further, we have seen in the document dump her signature and name "Casey Anthony" on these checks (not even a forgery on most of these!) with her DL on the back of the checks. We have seen the receipts of the merch and seen the self-same merch on the conveyor belts. Then we've seen Casey WEARING the self-same merch even to the current days (for example, strutting around wearing the stolen sunglasses). The clerks have given affidavits, Amy has given affidavits and will testify, the banks and grocery stores have given affidavits. Amy's checks were used for this merchandise. Amy was out of town. Amy swears Casey had access to her car and stole the checkbook. Amy swears Casey did not have permission to write the checks. A logical person would not need Tom, Dick and Harry in line behind and in front of her (no pun intended) to also testify that she bought the merch; she stole the checks and bought the merch! We don't need overkill here.

To put the nail in this vampire's coffin: She allegedly told the police and her mom in front of police that she stole Amy's checks! Admission.

Right you are. They have all the info they need to make the case stick and then some. I was really surprised at the especially good quality of the videos - no mistaking that was KC in the flesh.

Wouldn't anything they said Casey said be considered hearsay?

Now that we see what's on the agenda next week.... almost anything goes with the Grand Jury... such as hearsay. It's all in the prosecution's favor in that setting.

Is it possible that Nejame is doing something to get rid of Baez????

We know George was very unhappy with Baez.

I just worry that the longer Baez is associated w/ Casey's defense the easier it will be for Casey to appeal on the grounds of having an intellectually challenged attorney.

Do we know 100% the house was or was not bugged????

  • #139
I hope we get to see that full list, soon. I know we already have one list, but I think that was from the child neglect or fraud case. Hopefully this new list will get released.

Well Kathy did say what the dates of the NG show were in there. We should get on the ball. I can't remember what she said though
