Hevin is autistic and non-verbal. He has a small scar on the bottom of his left foot.


Hevin lived with his aunt, Tonya Sloan, in December 2005. His grandparents saw him alive on December 15, and he was supposed to be returned to his mother on December 24. Sloan never showed up to the meeting on that day. On December 26, Sloan reported that her car was stolen from a gas station with Hevin inside it. The car was found shortly thereafter, with no sign of Hevin.

Sloan later said that Hevin had a medical emergency and died on December 15, and she and her boyfriend disposed of his body a few days later by throwing it into the Ohio River. Her boyfriend later said that Sloan drowned Hevin after he soiled himself. She pled guilty to 2nd degree murder. Hevin's body has never been found.
