HPD: Missing Hauula man was kidnapped, looking for two men
HALEIWA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) -
It's been almost two months since 54-year old David Pukahi was seen by loved ones. He didn't show up at his mother's birthday party on April 5 and the next day, was in Haleiwa with two men.
"Pukahi was last seen in the company of Gabriel Schimidt and possibly another male, possibly, Shawn Hardy." says Honolulu Police Sergeant Kim Buffett.
HPD investigated it as a missing person case but Monday announced that it was reclassified to a kidnapping case.
Crimestoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public's assistance in locating David Kawika Pukahi who was last seen on April 5, 2015, at approximately 7 p.m. at his residence in Hauula. Pukahi has not been seen or heard from since and is known to frequent the North Shore, Haleiwa, and Waialua areas.

Details of Disappearance
Pukahi was last seen with two male acquaintances, Gabriel Schmidt and Shawn Hardy, in a dark blue Chevrolet Silverado on Emerson Road in Honolulu, Hawaii at 1:10 p.m. on April 6, 2015. Witnesses reported seeing the two men assault and kidnap Pukahi. He has never been heard from again.
Photos of Schmidt and Hardy are posted with this case summary. Schmidt is described as Caucasian, 6'0 and 195 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. H was 38 years old at the time of Pukahi's disappearance. Hardy is described as Caucasian, 5'8 and 165 pounds, and bald with blue eyes. He was 44 years old.
Pukahi previously frequented the North Shore, Haleiwa and Waialua areas of Hawaii. His case remains unsolved.
