HI HI - Hauula, 'Barnacle Bill' UP6909, 19-25, SCUBA suit bought In Tacoma, Nov'82

Below are males whose disappearances in circumstances involving boating coincide with the timeframe of the discovery of ‘Barnacle Bill.’ They all originated from AK, and either exactly or closely match Bill’s age and/or height approximations:

The above three (Aaron, Walter, & Ronald) vanished as a group.

Carter and Layne Smith disappeared together (presumably father & son).

Bumping for Bill, adrift like a boat
Your Bayley Suit kept you afloat
The authorities reportedly did something quite dumb
Misplaced the evidence that was your thumb

They never found the thumb? :(

There's no DNA available for Barnacle Bill? Were his remains lost or something?

Because they should be able to glean some DNA from the remains and compare it to family DNA.

Just throwing this out there. Could this have anything to do with our John Doe? This story was just recently posted on another thread.

They reportedly kept his thumb but later lost it.
Bumping:
For my very next birthday
I don’t ask for much
Not gold or rubies
Or diamonds or such
I don’t need anything fancy, like some
I’d be thrilled just to have
Barnacle Bill’s thumb

The Bayley company is apparently back. I texted them to see if the warranty records of the old Bayley company still exist. I know it’s a long shot and was likely tried back in 82 by the Hawaii authorities, but then again they are the ones who lost his thumb…….
Does anyone have BB’s dentals? Clifford Stigall was the right size, and was seen to abandon ship near Kodiak, Alaska in the right time frame, while wearing a Bayley immersion suit. He had upper dentures.

It has been a week with no reply. I guess this will go nowhere.
