HI HI - Jeffrey Meek, 43, Keaau, 8 November 2014

I don't know. Dav said they were to meet at 9:30 in Keaau. I was at the cave at 10:45. No one was there. Maybe they waited around for more people to show and got there later. I only went by once. The weather was ok. Cloudy but wasn't raining.
thank you for taking the time to investigate that. I appreciate it.

Money thing really strange. It's almost as if maybe someone was extorting it from him. He may have decided no more because his mom was coming or whatever. Why else would you have that vast of a discrepancy in the books? Easier to take it out of the company budget than the home budget and have to explain to your wife. Maybe someone knew about that legal situation from the past and threatened to start the talk back up again or inform the church. It was in the past, but if things had quieted down and settled a bit, would you want it to start back up again? I don't think he was making that much money though. My daughter said it was a pretty frugal lifestyle they were living when she was there 2 yrs ago and I know he had alot of trouble paying child support.

In this video a private investigator is in a green polo shirt. He was on the case quite quickly, photographing the truck and at the shoreline location, so I wonder if Jeff's mother hired his company to investigate the money situation. His company's website, Hawaii Investigative Group, lists investigating financial issues as well as missing people. After just arriving in HI, I don't know that she would have thought about a private investigator right away but if he was already familiar with the company financial problems, he'd probably be a person to call for help. However, if he had been hired previously, it doesn't appear that there was any quick answer to Jeff's business debt.....no arrests or info on recovering missing money.

Interested to hear if the search went on as planned or was cancelled

His wife wasn't even there at the caves? I find that extremely not normal. I would be there if I lived there and I'm not even married to him anymore. I think lucky did a good job on the investigator angle. People usually don't call in a private investigator unless they were getting no where with the LE. I do know that the detective told me that the private investigator was a friend of his, so I'm assuming retired PD.

I have found Mary's behavior strange from the beginning.
She has been strangely absent and quiet throughout this entire ordeal.

On Dec. 12th I saw Mary walking out of the Toyota dealership in Hilo toward the avenue. She was carrying her son James and looked sad. We were going in opposite directions, and she was walking quickly, so regretfully I didn't get the opportunity to speak to her.

Everybody stop and put yourself in her shoes. If you were her, where and what would you be doing? Mary is quiet, but mary is not shy. I know this first hand and Ive known her in some ways better than family. I think that you never know how absence will effect you until it happens. You wouldnt be finding me at anywhere in town but wherever I thought I could find my missing husband. I find it thought provoking.

Wonder if she was buying a vehicle, selling a vehicle, repairing a vehicle or maybe as simple as an oil change?
Hmmm....

Guests who are viewing this thread: Please consider joining WS. You may have ideas that would be helpful.
If anyone has any information, please think about Jeff's family. They are waiting for any word about what happened to him. I think we all know that we would not want to be in their situation.
Thanks to anyone that can help find Jeff.

I'll ask my kid what kind of car she drives.

I don't suspect she was buying a vehicle, for she wasn't coming from the Shark Tank where the salespeople are, but from the Cashier/Parts office.

she doesn't know what kind. Actually, she doesn't know what any kind of car is.

Sure is quiet on here. Where is dav? I was wondering if the search was called off or no one showed? I do think in time someone is going to talk and the truth will come out. I don't think he is in the ocean. I think that was a red herring to make everyone think he is.

I agree; whoever harmed Jeff planted his boots by the ocean in order to lead everyone to believe that he had fallen into the ocean either by accident or suicide. The perp might have even thought that people would give up on finding Jeff rather easily if they thought he was in the ocean. I think the same of the cell 'phone: It has been reported (http://www.hawaiipolice.com/missing-jeffrey-meek-update-11-14-14) that someone in the family purportedly pinged Jeff's cell 'phone using a website. I, personally, don't think it is in the vicinity of the cave. One thing that I still think about is the fact that -according to Jeff's mom via MSM- the night before he went missing, she called Jeff to surprise him with the news that she would be visiting him and his family for Thanksgiving. At first I didn't think too much of it (it appears that Jeff and his mom talked to each other quite often, even more than once a day at times), but I now believe it is possible that someone found this out and freaked out, so to speak; Jeff's mom herself has said she spent some time with Jeff earlier this year going over his company's accounting records ....

Jeff is gone. That makes me sad. I just wish that those around him would say more about his state of mind. I think there is more of the story to tell. Those around him know what he was doing. They know where he was in his life. We aren't getting the full picture. That's by design.
I'll check here from time to time.

Do you mean like they felt they had to speed up plans or like they were afraid sandy would come back to find more out so they killed him to distract her from that? It's thought provoking.

Because if that was the situation, the plan worked beautifully. Attention drawn away from the october problems. But would that seem extreme? Maybe not if you had a grudge against him anyways or if the perps illegal activities run deeper than we can imagine.

Everyone I have talked to about this disappearance since I was asked to join a search party said that before he disappeared, Jeff was not despondent in any way whatsoever. For example, according to the gentleman who was preparing the architectural plans for Jeff's dwellings on his Pepeekeo property, he was excited about this project.

Hello everyone i apologize for not being here lately and joining in to help. I just am so tired of the non information that even with all you wonderful people trying to help we cannot get the truth until we get the facts. It is all just a guessing game and I could not do that anymore.

As far as the search i just read that they did do the search . They found nothing. They said they searched both caves and Boiling Pot. Not sure what Boiling pot is. There were four searchers it looks like they started about 1130am that day. But nothing came of it.
