At this time, foul play is not suspected.''

''Police say he is believed to be of Caucasian descent, in his late 30s to early 40s, around 5 feet 3 inches tall, 175 pounds, with brown eyes, brown, shoulder-length hair, and distinctive tattoos.
Anyone with information is urged to call KPD Dispatch at (808) 241-1711.''

The sun tattoo is the Sublime logo. Should this post be moved to the unidentified forum?

Looks like a (semi-realistic) Grateful Dead bear to me!

Central tattoo appears to be a mushroom arranged with smaller aspects to form a face - two fish make up the eyes. I wonder if there's a connection to the band Phish, as I know the two fanbases have a bunch of overlap.

Amazing spot. I posted just a couple minutes after you. We're definitely looking at a Doe who likes his music.

i’d be interested to know what the sublime sun tattoo is covering up. the portrait tattoo almost looks like Freud to me?

Jan. 19, 2025 Update: The decedent has been identified as Nickolas Balsimo, a 31-year-old resident of Kaua‘i. An autopsy is pending to determine the exact cause of death, but foul play is not suspected at this time.

We extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Balsimo's loved ones during this difficult time. We also thank the public for their assistance.

I think I see a circle A on the left of the sublime sun. Difficult to make out much else though

A search on Facebook for Nick shows so many tributes. It sounds like he lived an adventurous life and was much loved.

I'm so glad you mentioned this, I took a look and it was good for the heart to see this outpouring of love and storytelling. Everyone seems to have a great memory of this guy to share. In my experience, it's rare with Doe IDs to see this many people coming together to celebrate a life, and I'm glad I got to see it here.
