Details of Disappearance​

Cardarella was last seen at approximately noon on July 27, 2007, hitchhiking on Route 130 in Pahoa, Hawaii. Prior to her disappearance, she sent a "disturbing" email to a relative. Cardarella has never been heard from again. Few details are available in her case.

Here's the thread Kim started on July 14th, 2007. It took me a bit of digging, but I found it.

Kim was promoting her radio show, which didn't seem like she had actually started yet. Other users tried telling Kim that the artists she plays on her show should get paid. Kim argued that new and independent artists should appreciate the exposure.

Nothing nasty was said, just a bit of a debate. Kim did mention financial stress, and in later posts, she sounded less excited.

It makes me wonder if Kim suffered from bipolar disorder, and went through a manic phase (starting her radio show) before hitting a wall, and feeling depressed.

If she left a suicide note, as one of the commenters above said she did, then IMO it's likely her body just wasn't found. That, or she walked away and didn't keep in touch with anybody.

Very sad case. Kim sounded like an intelligent and ambitious woman.
