HI HI - Manoa, WhtMale UP11790, 30-55, in shallow grave, 1982 coin, Sep'10

Yes, I appreciate the choice to show him with different hairstyles - it really helps emphasise that a reconstruction is not a photo and many details are guesses.

Hair really influences the way we see a face. I see a lot of cases where nothing is known about the UID's hair but people still can't help being influenced by the reconstruction's hairstyle when looking for matches. Someone with the wrong jawline but the same haircut will be considered a better potential match than vice versa.

@Caring1 Hey could you post the current list of NamUs exclusions for this John Doe? I would greatly appreciate it.

If this man isn't id'ed by the military joint command IMHO he won't ever be identified.

In fact, I am surprised we are even getting a follow up on this case.

The state of HI sweeps missing persons cases under the rug because of the tourist industry and the impact it would have on it JMHO.

TY for the update donjeta

Fast forward 13 years, and now we have the technology to identify people who we never dreamed would have their name back and would be returned to their loved ones. Thank you @othram. Every identification seems like a miracle.

Its true. Each identification is a miracle and the good news is that there are thousands more identifications to come.
