Circumstance: Melanie was last seen on October 20, 1999 at about 2130 hrs. up at Kokee; her car was stuck in someones yard; the neighbor tried to get her car out but was unable to; the last time Melanie was seen was on the day that her vehicle got stuck.

Really alarming case at first glance, considering the ruralness of Kauaʻi in general and especially the state park area. NamUs also states the location of her disappearance as Līhuʻe but if she was really stuck up at Kōkeʻe that would be more Hanapēpē area.

Light digging on whitepages pulled up a possible "Melanie Wallis" connection in CA but no real way to check it out. Thoughts?
