There's not much information to go on, that's for sure. More than likely the rope did have something to do with this person's death. It is kind of surprising they couldn't even determine the sex of this person..

The skeleton was believed to be that of a man, about 40 years of age or older and probably of “Oriental or Polynesian extraction”. He was found under a tree in underbrush. A rope was dangling from the tree and a pair of dark trousers were also found.

He was about 150 feet off the H-2 Freeway turnoff to Wheeler Air Force Base and about a mile from its front gate (near Schofield Barracks). He had probably been dead a year or more.
