Sorry, but I just don't think so...Hillary has confronted presidents and foreign ministers of other countries about their lack of cooperation in the WOT and their human rights problems....shying away from a bunch of Republicans is not her style, besides she has already spoken out about this blown up out of proportion for political reasons situation several times....at the pace she has been going to get the job done before she leaves, it's no wonder she's gotten sick and I hope she has a quick recovery......IMO

I completely agree with you, Hillary is a strong woman whose done so much for our country, she definately would not shy away from this. However, as soon as I heard about her misfortune, I knew it would be misconstrued. JMO

Great to see some inserting an oath of temperance on the further burdens women face in rising to the top.

You know I always find it eye opening when I have a problem with what someone in politics does or says that is obviously wrong, and I voice a comment that has to do with the "wrong doing" I then read comments as if I am just suppose to give the person a free pass because if I don't then I am just trying to make it political or I am bias. As I have said before wrong is wrong I don't care one ioda who is on what side of the coin. They are our elected representatives and they have jobs that are suppose to be for the good of the people, us here in the USA. They are in charge of making decisions that are suppose to protect our people that are stationed abroad.
Someone in charge of their safely dropped the ball and 4 Americans are dead. I just find the timing off, and I do know that hillary enjoys to drink and the holiday parties are in full swing. They still have not said when and where she fell. jmo

Yes, 4 Americans being killed in service for their country is a tragedy, I agree. However, it's funny to me that never ending hearings and responsibilities are demanded for this situation but none demanded by the public and Republicans for all the mess ups and deaths of 5,000 military, thousands of injured, and over 100,000 innocent Iraqi deaths in a war that was not even necessary and the president and vice president lied to the entire country about the reasons for it.

And since people of a different opinion dare to express this on an open opinion board, we now have an unfounded allegation that Hillary fell and got a concussion while she was drinking. I think that is overboard. The examples given, 2 are of the same event in the evening when Hillary was out with friends after work in Columbia, one seems to be several copies at some function with other diplomats, and one is during 2008 during her campaign. And she is not falling down drunk in any of the pictures posted, she is with other people at events and horrors, having a good time. So may we all be so lucky.

Hillary has been a very good SOS and even the opposition respects her for this......she will testify if asked....she is leaving soon...then maybe those of you who don't like her can have a little celebratory drink too....

Some of the pictures are from the same function BUT she is drinking a different alcohol beverage in each one.

This has nothing to do with being a man/woman struggle or democrat/republican or anything else that you want to label it. Someone wanted a link to prove that she likes to drink. Nothing more, nothing less.

And you were there to provide a good many. Would feel better about your answer if your post directly above it was not so breathless to point out that she "is drinking a different alcoholic beverage in each one." Zounds, what next? Women wearing pants?

I know that lots of employers are using social media and I would assume news as well when looking at a perspective employee. Honestly if it were not Hillary and just some "jane doe" and you were looking at hiring her and open up her folder and see all the different picture of her drinking would you hire her?

Sorry that you don't feel good about my answer. I was responding to another poster who mentioned that they were the same function and they were trying to discount the pictures. I was pointing out that although it was the same function, she was pounding down many different drinks.

I actually didn't even know that it was a well known fact that Hillary Clinton is quite a drinker. I only found out after googling for information.

Again, I do not have an anti woman stance as you keep trying to imply. Please stop trying to take it there.

A guy having a beer or a whiskey is never construed as "he likes to drink". In fact, it is often said of male politicians, "you know,I don't like his politics, but I'd have a beer with him" - as it is said in recognition of the man being a regular, decent guy.

But a woman, on the same occasions, enjoying a drink? Horrors! She must be a drunk!

Honestly, this country continues to be puritanical to a ridiculous degree, especially towards women.

Once again, I'll copy the explanation about that short post that I wrote because I have already explained it once. Please don't try to twist it into something that it's not.

I don't understand the drink debate. The photos with the same jacket on could amount to one shot and one beer. Big deal.

I'm actually concerned about her HEALTH, her heart and arteries kind of health. Not comments about an adult having an adult beverage at an adult beverage type of function.

Poor Hillary. No respect. Believe me when I tell you, she has a hard enough time where she is. It IS a man's world. (Mumbling again about the way Condoleeza Rice was treated on the stand, and what I observe daily on a smaller scale.)

I am not trying to twist anything. Many times at these functions people will toast, take a few sips and not finish their drink, however, you said she was pounding down drinks. You can't know how much she did or did not consume. I say no way is Hillary a drinker.

She is being monitored by doctors and is recovering at home. She was never hospitalized, Reines said.

However, the agency did not say when the fall occurred.

Clinton was diagnosed with a concussion Thursday after fainting at home earlier this week, according to a State Department official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss Clinton's injury publicly. The doctors did not determine it to be a "severe" concussion, the official said.

"She has been recovering at home and will continue to be monitored regularly by her doctors," Reines said, adding that Clinton would work from home and stay in regular contact with other top officials.

You're right, many times people don't finish their drink after a toast.

After reading quite a few articles in the past hour or so, I don't think Hillary ever puts a glass down until every drop is gone.

IMO, JMO, MOO

There is no connection that Hilary Clinton’s fainting is a result of her consuming alcoholic beverages. None.

I smell smear.

Hilary Clinton is an amazing role model for women all over the world.

I've actually been at a few events where Hillary was in attendance, including the WH. I've also met her and spoken with her at a couple of those events. I've never seen her drink alcohol at an event, period. She's always been a warm, friendly, highly intelligent person.
