Thank you. I am still waiting for the smoking gun that equates with your clear implication that she is prone to drinking and then falling and hitting her head.

Because I dont see anything here that gives me pause.

I find the smears to be very disturbing. Sure, dislike her politics or her hair or her pantsuit. But to slam her for having a beverage? :banghead:

GMAB. Disgusting.

It is very unusual for a person to suffer a concussion when fainting. The body is so relaxed when fainting that you usually either just slide to the floor or just fall in a heap. Hilary has access to the finest medical care available, so she can get care and find out what caused it. Before I knew of her fainting I'd heard she was at her home resting after having some sort of 'bug'.

I do not have a link, but yes, there has been many mentions of Hilary's drinking. Many more mentions of her drinking than any other present politician of her stature. Another previous First Lady had a drinking problem. It is not unheard of regardless of any political affiliation.

I too find it very unfortunate to have to postpone her testimony on the Benghazi (sp.) tragedy. Her memory will not be as fresh. Dates and some details may become fuzzy.

Drinking knows no political affiliation, no gender identity, and no race identity. My son was killed because someone drank too much on Thanksgiving Day, 1999. Before this concussion business even came up about Hilary I had already noticed many pictures of her in a club overseas drinking and dancing, and in magazines as well. We all have our 'takes' of it and this is mine. None of us know what caused Hilary to faint, but it is very unusual to suffer a concussion when fainting.

When my youngest daughter was having her final wedding gown fitting, she fainted from not having eaten (wanted to be skinny for her wedding). She was rigid and fell straight on her face. Her knees had locked and she fell like a tree. Of course we called an ambulance. The doctor stated that when you stand for a long period of time, your knees can lock. Her nose was bloody but not broken. We were advised to watch her, but x-rays had shown she did not suffer a concussion in spite of the angry red bump on her forehead and bloody nose.

FWIW, I like Hilary Clinton. But even she is not immune to having a problem if indeed she does. Who knows?

MOO

The first President Bush "suddenly fell ill" in Japan in 1992 and vomited, an event carried there, I believe, on live television. Few if any suggested that it was because of the toasts and the saki-drinking that preceded it. Instead, it was glossed over as being a result of "fatigue following a doubles tennis match."

Had I been here then and it was up for discussion I would have voiced the same opinion about him.

Yes, 4 Americans being killed in service for their country is a tragedy, I agree. However, it's funny to me that never ending hearings and responsibilities are demanded for this situation but none demanded by the public and Republicans for all the mess ups and deaths of 5,000 military, thousands of injured, and over 100,000 innocent Iraqi deaths in a war that was not even necessary and the president and vice president lied to the entire country about the reasons for it.

Thank you, Reader. The differing standards are really quite ridiculous.

I don't understand the drink debate.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<snipped>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I don't know either either. I Googled for information on Hillary drinking because someone asked for a link to support that info. I am impatient and couldn't wait for links, I wanted to know right then. I had no idea that there has been speculation that she had a drinking problem for a long time. Since I found some links, I provided the ones that I found. Now everyone is mad that there are links. :waitasec:

This is a different subject altogether. I didn't address every portion of each post because I am not looking for an argument. This just offended me on a personal level.

Please do not assume that you know what my feelings are about the war because of my dislike of Hillary Clinton.

I know that lots of employers are using social media and I would assume news as well when looking at a perspective employee. Honestly if it were not Hillary and just some "jane doe" and you were looking at hiring her and open up her folder and see all the different picture of her drinking would you hire her?

Why not? It is obvious from the pictures that these are either official functions involving the person's work or after-work occasions with family and friends...what is wrong with that? There are no indications of any charges for DUI or harm to herself or anyone else.

Perhaps Hillary hit her head on something (a table, anything) when she fainted..none of us know. However, when it comes time to testify, Hillary will step up to the plate, rest assured.

She is being monitored by doctors and is recovering at home. She was never hospitalized, Reines said.

However, the agency did not say when the fall occurred.

Clinton was diagnosed with a concussion Thursday after fainting at home earlier this week, according to a State Department official who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss Clinton's injury publicly. The doctors did not determine it to be a "severe" concussion, the official said.

"She has been recovering at home and will continue to be monitored regularly by her doctors," Reines said, adding that Clinton would work from home and stay in regular contact with other top officials.

There is nothing in this post or the others about Hillary drinking that confirms the allegation that she fell and got a concussion while drinking, and I have read around a little myself and found that this unconfirmed allegation came from, where else....Fox news....

I'm not assuming anything about anybody's feelings or opinions...I merely expressed my own opinion on the subject which was brought up in this thread about testifying by officials regarding deaths of military or state employees overseas.
