HODGE-PODGE - LISK-related

Any recent updates? I can't find any. Are these cold cases now? Any further mention of a connection? I can't imagine that even if LE thought there was, they would tell the public! Too much outrage already.

I take the public outrage comment back! Apparently there HAS NOT been ENOUGH public outrage!

I don't know if this belongs here or not, but it's late and I just had a very strong Irish coffee.
Anyway, I was reading about that NY canibal lector deviant who wore a cops uniform and the other sicko accomplice from NJ. They were reportedly members of some online group of disturbed individuals who liked to chat about torturing, killing and eating women. And if that is not disturbing enough, the kicker is this site had hundreds of Members!

I need to move farther out in the country. I no longer trust the 2 neighbors I DO have.

It's a sad reality that there are sick, twisted people that live among us. It's depressing really.

I have a neighbor whos not wrapped to tight. Hes TROUBLE.

Well, my neighbors seem normal and sane. But Bundy probably seemed normal and sane to his neighbors too.

That's a sad joke, but these days, you really don't know who you can trust. :(

In fact, Bundy was described by his neighbors as real charmer. Successful with the girls, known as a great cook so that people liked to visit him. Never overly loud or rude. Even psychologically trained people, he worked with at a suicide hotline in Seattle were blindsided by how empathic he dealt with suicidal people on the line and how good he was in keeping them talking till police/ambulances arrived on the scene.
But then, Anthony Sowell was the friendly go to man if someone needed something repaired in his neighborhood. Always the soul at their little street parties. Dennis Rader was not without reason on the board of his church community. Fred Albright has still a lot of friends supporting him because they never believed, such a friendly guy could do the things, he did. I can go on and on. Harrison Graham, mentally challenged, but pretty entertaining when he imitated the cookie monster. While everyone knew he dealt drugs (well, in a part of Philly, where people were usually either addicts or dealer or both), nobody really could imagine him as serial killer. Not even with the smells coming from the seven decomposing bodies in his apartment. But of course, later, after all was clear, everyone knew, something was wrong.

The point, why I list all those cases is, I found it quite useful to study at least some cases before talking about serial killers. They are often not what one expects after watching TV shows. The patterns become clearer. Like for example, why such a lot of those high-grade psychopaths and sociopaths are so good in pretending to be nice hapless neighbors. And why so many people buy it.

Thanks PB.
It would be a lot safer if they looked like monsters all the time and not just right before they kill you.

And here is my list of signs, something is wrong (and please, don't take that too seriously):

10. There is a smell something like the old pulled pork sandwich from last year coming out of a person's apartment ... only stronger

9. You see people going into your neighbor's apartment all the time ... only never leave

8. You neighbor uses credit cards on four different names to pay for beer at the weekly poker round in a pub

7. He is sooo good at sharpening knives

6. You find body parts in your front yard

5. He drives Volkswagen Beetle and the passenger seat is removed

4. He cooks really good, he likes to invite his neighbors to his little soirees, but he will never tell you the recipes or ingredients

3. He can eat fava beans and drink chianti without farting

2. He wears a deerstalker hat and doesn't smoke pipe

1. At the Thanksgiving dinner, he stabs the turkey

Skeletal remains found on north shore of LI.

Police on Long Island say a woman walking her dog near the shores of Long Island Sound in the Town of Oyster Bay found human skeletal remains.

Nassau County Police released images of a gold colored necklace with a pig pendant, in hopes someone recognizes it, and can help explain a disturbing discovery.

Monday afternoon, police say a woman was walking her dog on this wind-swept and deserted beach. When according to law enforcement sources, the dog sniffed out and dug up a bag, filled with bones. The skeletal remains, cops say, are of a woman in her 20s

Channel 7 news just reported a bag of bones was found today on the north shore of Long Island on a streach of beach in Lattington in the the town of Oyster Bay. A picture of a gold chain with a pendant of a pig was shown in the hopes that someone would recognize it. The reporter said LE does not know yet if it related to Ocean Parkway.

Is anyone from Long Island on the board? Have you heard anything?

Oyster bay? Isn't that where other body parts have washed up? In the back yard of one JD?

Oyster Bay is north of jones beach. Jones beach is where a skull and a bag of bones were found. I wonder how long this set of remains has been there for. This is unreal. I hope dogs are brought out for a search.
