Search for Holly Bobo continues
On April 13, 2011, UTM nursing student, Holly Bobo, was taken from her home in Decatur County, Tenn. It has been two years since Bobo was last seen.
According to police, Bobo’s brother said he saw a man in camouflage clothing leading his sister through the yard to a wooded area behind their house. State and local authorities coordinated a massive search that inspired the volunteer efforts of hundreds of people. Holly’s story was also featured on “Good Morning America” and “Nancy Grace.”
"You always hear of people being kidnapped, but you don't actually think it could happen to you or someone you care about. However, if it can happen to Holly, then it can happen to anyone. She is the most careful, responsible person you will ever meet. I never, in all my life, imagined that I would get the call that my friend had been kidnapped, especially Holly,” said Jill White, close friend of Bobo.

Holly Bobo's brother tells his side of the story for the first time
Clint Bobo is the only witness to his sister's abduction from her family's Parsons, TN, home in Decatur County on April 13, 2011.
He has been interrogated for more than 17 hours, strip searched, polygraphed and even hypnotized to find out exactly what he knows and remembers. He also turned over his hard drive and cell phone, yet some outsiders still think he had something to do with the crime.
Clint Bobo said he never felt hated until his sister was abducted. He had never been called a criminal, much less a killer, until his sister disappeared.
But ever since Holly Bobo went missing, Clint Bobo has received death threats and has been accused of planning or actually killing his sister Holly Bobo.
"They're warped. In my mind, they're warped," said Karen Bobo, about those who accuse her son of involvement.

New Information Surfaces in the Kidnapping of Whitney Duncan’s Cousin, Holly Bobo
According to Nashville’s WSMV, the new team is led by Sheila Wysocki, who made national headlines by solving the cold case murder of her college friend. She now heads a non-profit organization called Without Warning, which has thrown its full resources into the Bobo case. The team has already uncovered startling new evidence and developed a disturbing theory about the crime. After studying a digital “map” left by tracing Bobo’s cell phone, they have concluded that the perpetrator almost had to be someone local who knew the back roads — and who eventually doubled back to almost where the abduction took place.

TBI Blasts Channel 4 Report on Disappearance of Holly Bobo
Ahh, sweeps season, the time when breathless promos let you know what every TV station's investigative team has been working on for the past month.
Newschannel 5 had Scoopageddon himself, Phil Williams, delving into the state's motor pool (and finding some interesting stuff). Channel 2 has been hanging out at pill mills, looking at a doctor who allegedly prescribes too much. Fox 17? They are DETERMINED to get to the bottom of those surcharges on your utility bill as part of their "Waste Watch" series.
And Channel 4 went to the missing persons well, digging up what appeared to be new revelations in the case of Holly Bobo.

Reporter Dennis Ferrier promoted the scoop emphatically on Twitter:

TBI: Holly Bobo stories by Channel 4 'erroneous', 'irresponsible'

May 17, 2013 | 6 Comments

WSMV-Channel 4 has released a statement responding to the TBI:

"WSMV is aware of law enforcement concerns about the findings of a private detective group working on behalf of Holly Bobo’s family. A number of stories on Channel 4 simply reported on those findings. Those stories were done with the cooperation and blessing of the Bobo family.

Although the stories have been airing for several weeks, at no point did law enforcement contact WSMV to dispute any of the findings, until this week. Further, WSMV tried unsuccessfully to engage The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in discussions on the detective group findings, but TBI was unwilling to comment for the record until today’s strongly-worded news release.

Channel 4 is committed to fair and accurate reporting in all stories, and is happy to review any concerns raised about the content of those stories. WSMV respects and supports the law enforcement agencies working diligently to solve the Holly Bobo case. We also respect the Bobo family’s choice to hire private detectives in their quest for answers in Holly’s disappearance."
