Holly Bobo, missing from TN 2014 discussion #1 ***ARREST***

My opinions only, no facts here:

I see there are some very recent posts asking about rewards. Here is a rough history of offered rewards, clipped and edited from my timeline:

APRIL 14, 2011

The Bobo family holds a press conference. A $25,000 reward, funded by the community, is announced by the Decatur County sheriff. The reward is for information that leads to Holly Bobo’s safe return.

APRIL ?19?, 2011

The reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for the disappearance of Holly Bobo was increased to $80,000. (This may have been increased to $85,000 in ?June, 2011?).

FEB 6, 2012

The official award for the safe return of Holly Bobo is raised to $250,000 by an anonymous donation. This reward apparently does not have the same caveats as the earlier $80,000 to $85,000 reward which was for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for the disappearance of Holly Bobo.

JAN 14, 2013

A Memphis couple offers a $100,000 reward for Holly Bobo’s abductor to turn themselves in to authorities. The abductor would receive $25,000 immediately and the remainder would be deposited monthly in a fixed amount based upon the abductor’s prison sentence.

DEC 16, 2013

A representative of the Holly Bobo family announces a $250,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of a person or persons responsible for the abduction of Holly Bobo. Apparently all prior rewards are voided as of December 11, 2013.

Sorry, but I really wasn't a fan of that Levi Page interview. He just doesn't seem as informed as he should be before he goes on a talk show. He couldn't even remember ZA's name and fumbled trying to explain the Heather Sullivan event. I listened for a few minutes then stopped. I just don't see what makes him qualified to talk when he doesn't know any more than we do and has nothing of value to contribute.

Also, I love you all but can we PLEASE not go into religion/spirituality? That's a whole "nother" thing, and I'm a strong Christian and just don't want to get into that debate.

Açcording to PI Bill Warner's site, JA is scheduled for a parole hearing on 3/25/14.....only 5 months into his 15--to life sentence. And as stated on this thread, JA has been transferred to another facility. Things that make you go, 'Hmmmmm'.

Not getting why they hired a divorce attorney. Shouldn't they get the best criminal defense attorney they can get?

According her to her website, she also handles drug cases, homicides, and white collar crime. (ahem) Again, I'm not impressed. She's apparently known for a case where an adoptive mom put a Russian-adopted child on a plane and shipped him back to the orphanage from whence he came? This might get interesting...

Can any locals tell me if there are half addresses there in the area?

For example...492.11 or II than half. 1/2 11 1/2 II1/2

Crazy that his family would hire an attorney for him. If it were me, I'd say good riddance to bad rubbish.

RE: does anyone think a change of venue will be granted?

Imo, if a change of venue is granted, which is likely. The 21st century version of a venue change is to import impartial jurors from another area of the state. This is due to budgetary and other concerns.

Imo, due to internet awareness/social media, satellite TV and a 24 hour news cycle, changes of venues are outdated and futile in the 21st century.. The Bobo family and Decatur County, TN Citizens deserve to see justice served in their community..

Example:

Chattanooga jury is now deliberating in the Knoxville, TN murder trial. Channon Gail Christian, 21, and Hugh Christopher Newsom, Jr., 23, were a couple from Knoxville, Tennessee. They were raped, tortured, and murdered after being kidnapped the evening of 01/6, 2007 when Christian's vehicle was carjacked.

Blackwood denied a change of venue, but did allow for potential jurors to be brought in from outside of Knox County

This case is similar to the Elvis case with a murder charge and no body being found or announced. Because you have so much experience, why do you think LE would keep this info. from the public but tell the Bobo's some irrefutable proof? Has LE stopped searching for Holly? Maybe the laying the the murder charge was enough for the Bobo's? Have the Bobo's given an interview?

Anyway, I don't think this is a case without a body. I still firmly believe that the Bobo family would never just accept the words of anyone, including LE.

Imo, the only way they would be willing to accept it is remains of Holly have been found. Now are they intact or not found intact and some haven't been located? I think that is a very good possibility.

I believe that is why the investigators were seen out searching again this past weekend.

For any DA to mention 'death penalty' right off the bat means to me they have irrefutable proof that ZAs has murdered Holly. I do think Holly's remains have been recovered but I think there may be more remains to find.

As far as not releasing it to the public. It could be for a couple of reasons. Doesn't want the suspect to know they have found her. Wants to find all of the remains first for the Bobo family so they can have a proper burial. The ME can keep the remains found quite awhile anyway so even if found it will be a while before any remains are released.

I think the time is 1 PM CST which would make it 2 EST. Im sure its on the usual places that have such live events (same for the press conf last week).

As for the rewards, I think anybody who could offer any info could be charged as well. Maybe they helped during or after, or maybe they didn't stop it beforehand. Maybe they knew about it a week later and kept quiet. One would have to be very specific in order to get a reward IMOO.

That was one of the worst. If not the worst crime I have ever heard. It will be interesting to see what happens with this Trial.
